Iran - Israel/US War: Israel-US declare war on Iran, Iran responds

I wished we have 200 J10C/D and 100 J31AE in next 3 years, but the reality is different. China has to publicly take our side in this conflict before selling us anything ... They even didn't this for Russia which has far better military/economic cooperation with them!!

China does not take sides like that. If you decide to climb on that mountain, waiting for a mythical approach that you want to force others to adopt before you are going to engage with them, then you are in for a long long lonely wait... again ...

Keep it clinical, and explore the opportunities and make the procurement decisions. Forget the nonsense...

What does it mean if some one does, or does not come out with the right sequence of magical words, if they are prepared to sell to you, what you desperately need, then decide to buy it or not.

Interesting video on the economic fallout from some of what Iran has done in the recent 12 day war.

I don't think the negative effects will last as long on Israel as the video author tries to suggest, the connectivity is strategic for the EU, Saudi Arabia and India.

How safe are our missile sites from bunker busters?

Assuming that the US does give Israel B-2 bombers and GBU-57s, can our missile bases survive this sort of bombing?
Where the missiles are stored is untouchable, that's why they go after the launchers and not where the missiles are stored

500m underground, even an earth penetrating nuke can't touch them. B-2 with GBU-57 FLOP can't do more but hitting surface sites of the missile site

500m underground? Is this from a reputable source?
If true, then we can still fight back in Round 2.

There are obviously no independent verification but its widely shared that they are 200-500m underground

If it's an exaggeration, then it should be between at least 200m to 500m

There is a reason why they didn't bothered going for the underground bases and instead went hunting on launchers. If they couldn't reach Yemen's and Hezbollah underground complexes, i doubt they will achieve that on Iran

It's certainly not an IDF gbu-28 or a US MOP that will pierce through that

@ShapurII

We were probably right on the launcher question

The minor damaged one were probably hit by drones with less impactful warheads
Very far from the 400 launcher claim

They also used drones from different angles to recycle the footages with higher contrast

It seems having decoy launchers is way forward for Iran place 20% inflatable launchers around border area

Watch Israeli waste missiles on Decoys

Yes, I saw that on Deep Dive Defense. But we don't know how many launchers we have.
The British intelligence, a few years ago, claimed Iran had only 60 launchers, which is a ridiculous claim in my opinion. I think the real number is obviously above 100.
If we have 400 launchers, then we are fine.

I really hope we are prepared for Round II.
I think Round II will probably end the war for a while, unless something big happens and Iran let it slide as usual and accepts an early ceasefire.

Round III will probably involve a coalition, if Round II doesn't achieve its goals. I don't think Israel is capable of fighting Iran alone if Iran deters Israel in Round II as well.

The one thing that can stop Round III for certain is nuclear deterrence.

Hajizadeh claimed we would fire 10,000 missiles on day 1, but we actually launched about 500 over 12 days, averaging ~41.6 per day.

We can define a Hajizadeh factor (H) as actual average divided by the claim:

H = 41.6 / 10,000 ≈ 0.00416

He also claimed the missile cities were "hundreds of meters deep", assuming 400 m deep, we can estimate the actual depth (d) by applying H which gives:

d = 400 * H ≈ 1.66 m

This suggests that if his level of exaggeration were consistent, the real depth would be about 1.66 m
