I thought Iran's choice of its foremost strategic partner is Russia, you chose to buy your weapons from Russia, not China. Your next strategic partner is India. China is a partner to Iran in some areas particularly in economy. If you don't want to have cooperation with China, that's fine. How do you know the Russians have offered ToT?

J-10C has AESA radar, Sukhoi-35 and Sukhoi-30SM both use PESA.
Russia cannot even produce Sukhoi-35 in enough numbers per year, the Chinese can produce J-10C at an incredible rate if they want to. The Chinese have an industrial capacity that the Russians do not possess. Just as simple as that.

Su35 can start flight mission from east of Iran and wit combat range f 1500 KM , go to west of Iran and do mission flight and then comeback without needing air to air refueling . It can cover entirety of Iran ...
So Su35 even with weaker avionics are better choice for Iran because lets be honest , we would know our airbase will be first targets in any war with Israel or PGCC...

If the war didn't happen and we would get first complete batch till the end of 2025, all these speculations would be baseless ...

And part of Su35 deal was paid by Iran sending drones and ammunition to Russia ...

Chinese act so high for us and it became frustrating.
