PAF J-35AE - News, Updates and Discussions

I don't have any misunderstanding about China. You are right, currently, China needs to achieve parity with the US in terms of GDP (local). At that time, we'll see China start to expand its wings more. Its difficult right now because when you are an export oriented nation, you have to consider the world. But if your GDP can grow above exports internally like the US/UK, etc. Then you project power.

So China is ensuring its economic growth while creating state of the art military technologies. When it reaches parity in GDP's case, and will only have the US left in technology parity of military tech, you'll have a true multi-polar world with two super powers.

Hi,

Americans are a firm believer of the doctrine " promise less---deliver more " so when Hegseth talks about losses---I will be really really concerned at what the americans have hidden up their sleeve---.

The upcoming 10 years Americans will be catching up.

F-22, F117, B2 all were enough for a declining Soviet threat and then no threat post Soviet collapse. China was a sleeping giant back then.

Past 20 years China has pretty much caught up in almost all domains of air/naval warfare.......next 10 years are gonna be interesting for us and extremely challenging for USA.

China is all about speed. 6th Gen fighter will be in full service before entire F-35s which were planned have been inducted and operationalized.

There is a reason they are already going for Block 4 upgraded jets.

Most people don't understand and realize China's manufacturing, program management and technological speed.

Apparently during the recent visit of the Chinese Air General, this guest made a request to see Pakistan's combined War HQ. Apparently Field Marsall Munir rejected his request citing national security, and only allowed him to visit PAF's HQ.

What do you think fellows??

@Fatman17
Actually I just realised this is offtopic post

Looks like the PAF is going cautious and slow regarding J-35 procurement. Makes sense though. Antagonizing the USA with an abrupt move is being avoided to let Bharat make the first move - like the way Ra-fail & Meteor were quickly countered and overmatched with J-10C/Jf-17 + PL-15....

@Musings @Waz @Fatman17

Can we please stick to the topic?

Do you know if J-35 Radar is also made of Silicon Carbibe vs. Galium Nitride? J-20's Radar is based on Silicon Carbide, I've known that for a while. China has cracked the radar tech beyond West by leaps and bounds.

Galium Nitride is now tier II / older radar tech for China. While the West's top radar tech is based on Galium Nitride.

French are still on gen 1. Rafale's radar tech is based on Gallium Arsenide, the oldest of AESA (1st gen) tech.

Hi,

How about the F-22---F-35's, B-2's---? What kind of radar TR modules they are composed of.

No, it’s not getting more interesting but just more ridicolous & stupid!

Pakistan won’t get J-20; period!

US current generation radar tech is running on Gallium Nitride or gen-2. For China, its previous gen tech because their stealth and 6th gen jets are using Silicon Carbide tech or gen-3.

US tech is on the same level as what's in the J-10C's radar, which was still a FULL generation ahead of the Rafale as French use AESA gen-1 tech (Gallium Arsenide) in Rafales. Which also explains why it couldn't interpret properly PL-15's AESA emissions.

Pakistan doesn't need the J-20. That massive strike range and the larger size due to its range, is actually an issue for us. Our proximity is very close with our arch rival India. J-35 suits our needs.

Pak could've also asked China to R&D some design for us that would be smaller single-engined J-20. That would've worked also. But no J-20 please.
