September 11………America is vulnerable to attack at anytime like all other countries all over the world and peaceful you got to be kidding me gun violence galore here.

You used the biggest false flag in the world to reach that conclusion? But I agree they are a threat to themselves with their degenerative youth with guns.

This is more important than many people think. Those systems are vulnerable to counter-attacks from tomahawks and guided bombs. If you can fire those changing your position it gives you much more survabilty. Please note no emitting search or FC radar are on them... So they work electronically silent.

it means you guys suggestion only manage harden the resolve of Americans.
Ok. You and only you set a false bar by setting the goal 'to destroy a city'. Nobody wants to destroy a s city. That is not MAD. MAD is inflicting 'equivalent' counter-damage to the opponent. That *might* or *might not* include total destruction of 'cities'. But it always includes terrorizing a population. Also you totally ignore the nuclear option. Anyway this discussion is pointless since you're mixing apples and oranges resulting in wasteful counter-responses (like this one).

Iran CAN establish and HAS established a deterrent. Iran is also moving to progress the leading edge of deterrence closer to the opponent's home. These ships with precision ballistic strike capabilities are excellent and effective examples of doing just that.

I don't think there is much risk of interception during the 10 seconds it would take to stop then fire the missiles

I have to agree with @Hack-Hook here

this only enables us to launch a conventional first strike on the US homeland with 10-20 ballistic missiles (which will achieve nothing in a country as massive as the USA except to ensure that the US launches a Israel/Gaza style invasion of Iran and destroys everything Iran achieved in the last 50 years)

Hold on boys. Nobody is suggesting taking on the US at this moment. However, we are seeing a build up of deterrence which will gradually get to a point of effectiveness. That said, ANY deterrence is better than nothing if there is early action.

BTW, this is exactly what I mean when we're comparing apples and oranges and arguments are scattered and wasteful.
