Pakistan Missiles - Updates, News & Discussion

I wish this was true but such capability does not exist in Pakistan missile program. The best we have are some upgraded Scuds, originally received from North Korea as part of tech exchanges, to which Pakistan made some improvenents. If it was that easy to build cruise missile or ballistic missile or hypersonic, every country would have them!

India's BrahMos is a Russian Yakhont to which India made some modifications. Even India cannot build a good cruise missile from scratch.
I think this was previously true but the new Fatah series are relatively more recent tech.

The original first Shaheen was the Chinese DF-11, Ghauri was from North Korea an extended version of SCUD.

Subsonic cruise missiles are relatively easier to make, it's the supersonic and especially hypersonic that are difficult. Pakistan will almost certainly need outside assistance or perhaps license to get a supersonic CM, I doubt they have the stomach to do the R&D for it, perhaps China can put a price for the ToT.

We need to start thinking about Super Sonic stuff , every one is building theirs

Since the Ababeel , we have not made any good reasonable announcement on Missile Tech
Supersonic is meh, Subsonic is cheap affordable and can be built in numbers, as far as supersonic is concerned you have F2,3&4. A supersonic CM flying is a prime target for ADs, pak AD absolutely wrecked barhamos. SGV and HGV are the way forward.

I think Sub Sonic Missiles are obsolete based on review of recent
Iran-Israel war, the details which emerged were quite revealing

Alot of intercepts are made of the Sub Sonic types

The Scud Style missiles with predictable trajectories are old technology
While it can cause damage but opponent have SAM setup these do get intercepted more often now

You need lot of Missiles to penetrate defences , while Iran did claim they used old missiles in start of conflict , it had some success

Pakistan will have to continue to develop it's missiles to match up with development as they are happening in other countries

Come on man .... You cant see the craters in our airfields? We must have supersonic cms too and also the will power to actually launch them! Indians had the right mentality just shit execution.... While we keep talking about deescalation which means shit in the real world!

Sub-sonic missiles are cheaper and easier to produce hence they can be used in bulk as saturation if well co-ordinated alongside EW payloads. They are not obsolete, they are still in production.

Think of it as a high-low mix. Subsonic due to affordable mass production form the bulk to saturate against the enemy, then the tip of the spear is going to be your limited number more strategic supersonic and hypersonics.

Also once the other sides air defence is gone, subsonics will work just fine, nothing to really intercept them. That's where cheap JDAMs etc are more economic to use, no logic in throwing hypersonics at a non-defended area.

They key is "Bulk" deployment you waste a lot of resources

Iran-Israel war showcased importance of Resource management

Pakistan attained same results with their Rocket Dispatched , as distance between India-Pakistan is quite small , so Pakistan was able to get necessary gains with just a crude Rocket Launch or Artillery

However to develop advance Hyper Sonic Missile should be priority
so strategic gains can be made when necessary , rather then deploying 40-50 missiles at time

India tested a Saturation attack against Pakistan , with 89 Drones and Brahmos 15-20 (Unconfirmed number) missiles into Pakistan
  • This was second test
    • We responded with a Delay , people were angry on this forum demanding a response. It was not long ago we all remember
  • First test was when they claimed , the missile accidentally entered Pakistani Airspace.
    • Our response was slow, it was just shrugged off as mistake

You could argue they were testing their strategy with Brahmos , if they can get to Pakistani Air-force bases

Pakistan did made necessary intercepts of drones and Missiles , so it was great

So now we must also enhance our Missiles to counter with a immediate response for future

Why we used cm 400k on s400 and not any other subsonic cm?

Watch it in slow mo, it's just a warhead/glide vehicle impacting.

That is not a glide vehicle - looks like a regular rocket.

Looks like there's no separation, the rocket is the same length as the pole in the ground

but its not the same length when it took off. Every ballistic missile has a booster that takes it to/near space and separates where it travels at very high speed due to lack of gravitational and atmospheric forces slowing them down and then descends down on the target at a much higher speed due to gravidity and can be sped up even further with a terminal stage booster motor

yes we need supersonic/hypersonic missiles up front, preferably for hitting C2 bunkers and SEAD/DEAD missions. Once this done sufficiently, follow up waves of cheaper subsonic missiles and SOWs can strike with more impunity. F1, F2 are definitely supersonic in the descent, but their accuracy must be greatly improved.

The moment Pakistan tries to seriously enhance its missiles, Uncle Sam is expected to cry rivers.

The indians and americans have pushed a narrative that india has the right to hit pakistan with pakistan only merely defending not retaliating.... And they are succeeding .... This may episode out response was way too low. We are becoming pacifists day by day !

Babur can do the same at the fraction of barhamos cost, what we need is lots of Baburs, Loitering munitions and F series of BMs. The cost and RD for supersonic CM ain't worth the hassle though building blocks can be laid for hypersonic but even they are too exotic of a weapon for pak. Better would be HGV.
