Aafia Siddiqi's lawyer speaks-gives new light on injustice and suffering

Dar completed bulldozed Dr Afia's case with his latest comments in hatred of Imran Khan.
Afia's case was bulldozed the moment she married the nephew of Al Qaeda's number 2 guy and collected funding for them, now I not eating up what the Americans are saying 100% but Afia is guilty... I do think we shouldn't have handed her over to the Americans, she should have been trialled here.

the state has spent millions in legal fees trying to fight a pointless case on her behalf mostly because of pressure from our naive public who still believe in the innocent muzlim women framed by Amreeka narrative, still filling out useless petitions, if people have all this energy then it should be used on helping out people far better than her.

she is innocent of the charges against her.. but not her association with AQ

the problem with her links it could not be proved.

I however do object to the manner it was done. I have no sympathy for terrorist or their sympathizers however a due process of law needs to be followed .

She was found in Afghanistan and she just happened to be married to AQ's 2's nephew, A mother of all coincidences I must say, even her ex husband said she had extremist views when they were married, she must have been a big asset for AQ to get on radars of global intelligence agencies,

The whole story of her apparently being raped and tortured is essentially emotionally charged rhetoric that was started by her sister, although I do believe the whole story of here picking up a gun and shooting a FBI agent is bullshit.

yes but all of this is hard to prove in a court of law

concerning rape, most muslim women were raped by US soldiers as norm rather than a exception

two evils on the same side... horrible situation post 9-11 it was

What are you even talking about? I have not seen no proof rape being a systemic tool used by American occupation even from Iraqi sources, there have been a few famous cases of course which became symbols of opposition to the Iraq War but nothing suggests that it was systemic So I don't even know what point you trying to make here.

I used to work for a major US military contractor.. we all knew what happened there

Oh please don't do this "trust me bro" Bullshit, anyway on topic of Afia Siddiqui, the more I have learned about her the more I have come to dispise this bitch, she abandoned 2 of her kids to go marry some AQ operative and fulfill here delusional fantasies of Jihad, when she was asked about her kids she said "jihad was more a pressing matter" The worst part is she has become a sacred cow among the Awam

Half of the bullshit that surrounds this story comes from her family who have been proven to be complete liars on many accounts, god knows how much money the state has spent hiring the best lawyers for this terrorist, she should be considered a traitor here for aiding AQ who carried out terrorist attacks here yet here we are spending millions fighting this terrorist's case in American courts.

Also she is an American citizen so I don't understand why Pakistanis give a **** about her anyway.

It’s a shame in the Pakistan conscious

She is where she needs to be, and she will likely die there. End of story.

Musharraf sold many Pakistanis for dollars as he claims in his book. Why not throw a daughter in that without an open trial? I hope he is enjoying his time under dirt.

that is the only real truth.

the problem is with Pakistan kangaroo court system. no body believes in it... only idiots.

if they bother to just fix that no body would question the judgement

the issue is fundamental.. we have no rule of law and such incidents will continue to happen

The incomprehensible thing is that US lawyers are trying to get involved in her case when the root causes all lie within Pakistan, like you said.

Aafia was a Pakistani citizen abducted by Pakistani agencies in a city within Pakistan.

Any process for redress of her family's complaints in this regard begins and belongs in the jurisdictions totally within Pakistan.

Even now, Pakistan is providing consular services for their citizen incarcerated within the provisions of US law.
