Iran - Israel/US War: Israel-US declare war on Iran, Iran responds

the enriched uranium is not in Fordow it is in tunnels in Esfahan but hopefully they move it to Qazvin or Natanz-2 or various other more protected sites

in theory yes but behind those generals were another set of generals just as old and incompetent (if not more) as the first bunch. the influential political voices did not change (Khamenei, Larijani, Qalibaf, Rezaee, Shamkhani, Velayati) so they are pursuing the same broken policies.

they still want to build a country based on propaganda that's why they shamelessly claim they won the war, Israel begged for a ceasefire, Iran killed thousands of Israelis, etc. they didn't learn much. except for how vulnerable they are.
1- All countries are based on propaganda, and Iran has very low propaganda, close to 0%: in fact, it needs more.

2- Was Israel who begged for a ceasefire with Trump.

3- It is publicly known that Netanyahu created a law that omits the real number of Israeli military personnel killed and locations hit. Several bases, public buildings, and Mossad headquarters were destroyed by Iran.

I agree. Haniyeh's assassination should have already raised alarms about the real situation of Israeli infiltration in Iran, but it seems they greatly underestimated Israel. Haniyeh's assassination was a major sign of what was to come.
Haniyeh was also under Turkish and Qatari protection and contacts, so it's was unlimited opportunity for mossad...it's different, some nationalist group in the intelligence service could be indifferent to religious duties that are devoted to Arabs and costly...

If Iran is effectively able to strike back at this moment, and with already improved AD, but level beyond previous striking power, definitely not need to be pessimistic in the expecting of the next round...

Here’s how you know they got their shit kicked out of him. Immediately they come out and deny the dad anything to do with this fire. The community notes are under their thump . Read it if you have access to X.

IT's fake news, "israel" didn't attack iran.

@Hassan Al-Somal

I hope this helps you realise the reality on the ground. There are still Israeli agents active in Iran.

I come across this today. Very sad indeed! The Iranian internal security needs an overhaul. How can the terrorist menace have a field rain over Iran? They need to bring back the revolutionary fervor - the one led by rahimullah Ayatollah Ruhollah Khomeini.

This is how they begin, series of sabotage to disorientate you then heavier blows.

Recall prior the previous battle there was a massive explosion on an Iranian port. We now know this was almost certainly Israeli agents following the extent of the infiltration that has come to light.

Winners don't sit around waiting to get slapped....grow a pair.

Israel is much more resilient than you think

Hezbollah fired rockets at Tel Aviv daily for weeks and hit central Tel Aviv with large rockets last year and destroyed many buildings, did Iran do something significantly different? more hits and more damaging, but same kind of thing.
Hezbollah's rockets did not bring down buildings...let's not kid ourselves. On one hand, we got people saying Iran won the war, on the other saying Iran lost, and that they suck in every way. Neither of the two camps are correct. The truth is Iran has been badmouthed in the world press for 40 yrs. Our military equipment and achievements were ridiculed in the media on a daily basis, it was the US and Israel that enjoyed the aura of invincibility, not us. The 12 day war perhaps didn't damage the US reputation, but it sure as hell damaged Israel's reputation....shit, even Hamas embarrassed them before us. So, yeah, I do believe we bruised their ego....in a big way. Iran didn't win, but we sure as hell didn't lose. And they gave Israel a bloody nose to show for it...
No amount of media blackout can hide the truth from the strategist. Besides, I'm sure Chinese satellites are giving Iran all the proof they need.

Well, I see the different message in the actions. The actions of sabotage is telling me they can't beat us in the open so they desperately need to inflict pain in this manner. This is a sign of weakness..not strength. If anything it is a sign that they don't have the stomach for round 2.0.

Oh wow…Iran bruised their ego? How will they recover from that?

Meanwhile they destroyed many components of Iran’s nuclear program that took years to build and incredible cost and effort.

This has always been what’s wrong with Iranian thinking.

They kill Solemani. We give some troops headaches in Iraq.

They bomb our embassy. We fire some missiles with ample warning at Israel.

It’s this terrible escalation response system that brought the war to Iran’s soil in the end. Something many on here warned would happen.

And what you're advocating is an all out war...do you want to go to war? Do you live in Iran? Are you going to join those young men in the front line? Then choose your words wisely......these are big stakes, these are people's lives we're talking about, things that should not be taken lightly. Yes, we do have a crappy leadership and government......but what you're asking for is ordinary Iranians getting blown up instead of structures.
If you don't have a stake in the fight, or the fact there is different flag under you name in your profile, you should temper your tough talk. Young men will die for those words, while you're (and myself) in the US sitting on the sofa watching Marvel movies.

Guys I'd like to jump in. Pardon me, I'm new here.

I've been following this thread from the outset of the conflict. I have friends and relatives in Iran, so it is a matter of importance to me.

Firstly, this whole back and forth of "we won the war, Israel begged for cease fire" vs "we are losing badly, they hurt us badly and we didn't do enough to stop them" is devolving into pessimistic ranting vs naivety.

I had wished Iranian leaders had responded with greater force, but that is then and this is now.

They know a second round is imminent.

We need to be discussing how to prepare.

The reality is bitter. No matter how much damage Israelis are hiding, they are preparing to attack again. This means you have not established deterence. It's that simple! All of us can boast about the missile strikes on Tel Aviv, Bazan oil refinery, Weizman Institute, all day. It still doesn't erase the fact they are going to attack again! Where is the deterence?

The large missile bases in Esfahan were hit. None of us know if the bases are a total loss, nor how many missiles / TELs were destroyed.

It is not completely bleak:

-A large number of Mossad insiders have been caught
-The population is currently rallied around the government. Please IR, do not take Iranians for granted and spoil this unity
-IRGCAF learned alot about Israeli air defence patterns; how their interceptors are deployed, timing of their responses, how they will respond
-I have not seen any photos or videos of major IRIAF losses, which means at least the F14s and Mig 29s are still operational
-The navy seems to be untouched

What we need to realize:

-Both the Americans and the Israelis know the limits of their interceptor stockpiles, and are likely actively working on ways to use them more effectively i.e strategizing how to improve interceptions with less missiles

-MAGA is in civil war; half of Trump's base are angry with him for getting involved in what could lead to a major bloody war. If Iranian retaliation is weak, and talk of "Iran is a paper tiger" goes around, those in his base resisting calls to war are going to look stupid and weak. They may end up changing their mind and siding with Trump, thinking that Iran is weak

How does Iran prepare:

-I know I will get flack for this, but at this point, I think Iran needs to send the Migs to Russia for upgrade to SMT status. There is no time to play around with IRIAFs science fair projects. The ground control stations need to be repaired and better protected as well. Even if only a dozen jets can provide defence to critical sites, shooting down drones and cruise missiles
-We have to assume there are zero SU 35s. Even if there were, it takes years to develop the skills. It's a new airframe
-I have my doubts Iran will get J10s from China, but air defence seems more likely. If not, at least get the Chinese to replace equipment lost when Israel targetted missile plants and SAIRAN
-Can systems like Mesbah 2 be of any use defending sites from cruise missiles? Guarding TELs? Seems low cost and able to be mass produced
-Need to put together plans for hitting more critical sites around Israel. I think escalation is the only way at this point, otherwise Israel will continue attacking and sabotaging with impunity

Lastly:

-I know I will take huge flack for this, but I think Iran should give up enrichment capability. Propose a 3 year moratorium on enrichment. After 3 years, reconvene and discuss the possibility of creating an international consortium that would allow to enrich uranium on a limited basis. It is way too late to dash for the bomb now. IR wasted a decade, when there was a chance to go for it, but didn't.

-There needs to be some economic reprieve to alleviate hardships on ordinary Iranians, and add some funds so that the country can rebuild. I have read reports that thousands of Iranians submitted information to police, leading to the discovery of Mossad agents and operating sites in the country. IR needs to preserve this goodwill and keep the country united and hopefull, because what comes next is going to be very difficult. I don't discount that Israel may even target water facilities, exploiting the drought crisis.

-I trust the skills of Iranian engineers and scientists. There needs to be a future weapon that can supercede the need for nuclear weapons. Think sci fi, think outside the box. You can't rely on nukes. That era is going to go away.

Anyway, again, just my two cents.

I wanted to get the conversation going in a different direction.

Please, let me hear your ideas.

What equipment can you rely on? What can you produce?

An all-out war will eventually come when they occasionally cross your red lines and you do not respond, but continue to be hostile and act tough regardless.

We all could foresee this day when Trump assassinated Gen. Soleimani but the IR was satisfied with a symbolic response. They will move one step up in the escalation ladder each time until they win, but it seems that we are not willing to walk the walk, after talking the talk.

Anyway, it seems that the IR is finally realizing that Russia has sold them to the US. Velayati's new post on X is very interesting and seems to be targeting Putin, by calling him the one-thousand faced man.

Iran's national security is more important than generals. Priorities and opportunities are defined by the leadership not common men.

Our leader is wise enough to decide what to do and what not. Simple as that.

Velayati is in a hurry to judge. Putin made mistake, his presence in Alaska was a grave mistake. But Trump showed him his middle finger by inviting Europeans simultaneously. Now Trump is like a big man supposed to judge bunch of fighting kids and Putin is one of them.

Btw, by thousand faced man, he means Trump not Putin.

Yes, wise enough for the country to be in this situation.

Yeah, right. Putin made a mistake. How dared he?
