I feel ashamed over the treatment of Afghan refugees: Imran Khan

What has our "good will" cost us? Unrelenting terrorism and crime from afghans in Pakistan. They are a security threat that needs to be liquidated. Best solution for them is to go home and sort out their own problems. The west, gcc arabs and Iran are kicking out all afghan refugees/immigrants. There is a REASON for this. About the time we did the same. Pakistan was not made to look after low iq, retarded afghan criminals and terrorists.
It is a combination of many things. Blaming Afghans and exonerating ourselves would not solve our problem.

Every problem can be solved in a better way. Unlike gulf, we don't safeguard our interests intelligently.

Are Pakistanis attacking Afghanistan daily in the hope of making headlines so that their cheque from India can clear?

There is nothing to debate as far as I'm concered.

Who cares if Pakistan opened the supply lines to Afghanistan during the WOT. Good, they deserved it. My only wish is Pakistan didn't join in with NATO and crushed this retarded taliban and their tribes once and for all.

So if he show consistency, he is copy paste machine. And if he revisit his views and change them, then he is a U-turn.

But you know what he is in reality ? A chutya. Because he thought he would lead this hajoom of 250 million towards some glory and peace and calm.

We are all responsible for our own grand desires.

What is more interesting is that there's fundamental ideological discord between his fans and followers on almost every prevalent issue. Also what glory?

War with India and global conflicts have finally influenced Pakistan to plunge into right wing politics. This is not good news.

Even Hitler, despite all his flaws, wanted glory for his nation. Was his methods right ? No. But his intention were good for his nation.

Similarly you won't agree to everything IK says. You can't. People may even disagree to their father on many occasions. Doesn't mean you can criticize his left as well as his right. His U-turns as well as his "photo copy" style. Grow up.

No idea which German told you that Hitler had good intentions for Germany. I am yet to meet one.

We are not talking about mundane issues, we are talking about ideological differences over national security, socio-economics among others.

But fear not. None of this would affect his vote count or popularity. Nothing would as long as he is up against PPP and PML.

Time and again, Imran Khan has voiced his opposition to repatriation of Afghan refugees.

Sorry captain I support you on all matters except on afgans and Usman buzdar

What qualifications do you have to disagree with Niazi? Which philanthropy work or global sports achievement do you have to consider yourself worthy enough to disagree with honorable supreme visionary?

There are very many other things on which one can disagree with him with respect. IK had just as many missteps.

The very same Buzdar logic can be applied to Khan sahib, in that he meant well but was not able to deliver on quite a few fronts (in addition to some careless missteps).

I think what is also lost on people is that Shahbaz Sharif, his niece, Qamar Bajwa, Asim Munir, BB et-al all have good intentions at heart for the country but the noise is so great against them from certain quarters that this point gets buried. The political discourse forces everything to be binary.

The narrative is that they are all evil and only Khan sahib is the good guy. There is nothing in between. And each generation, the equation just changes with different names but the discourse remains the same, one is all good, the rest are trash.

I have never voted for PML-N. But I think outside of the noise of the politics, you will find many of these people sincere (as are those in PTI, PPP etc.) in their intentions (their actions may not be fully aligned with their intentions but that is politics). This does not mean that I condone their financial or moral corruption. Our politics are so dirty that after a while everything becomes a grey area.

Last, I have been forced to become a "cynic" because of what I have seen in the past 50+ years. I have seen the good side of IK and his hypocrisy. The same applies to all other politicians. I have come to realize that the failures of Pakistan are our collective failures. I am not even sure if I can blame one person for all the ills. All these leaders have operated with their own set of constraints and calculations. Any one of us elected to the office would be mired in the same nonsense trying to make sense of things.

This is one of the most intelligent and insightful posts I have ever read.

Thanks, but honestly this is a sincere post representing my sense of fatigue at the constant bickering and division within the country. Perhaps we take too much interest now (on account of information overload) which wasn't the case in the past.
