we supported these Namak Haram who ever holds power and hope that they will act less barbaric and bring their nation out of misery and violence but they always find some ways to blame everyone but themselves, for 20 years America and NATO/EU was in Afghanistan, investing Billions of dollars and providing everything from top military tech to open markets to build their nation, some of the opportunities which even Pakistan didn't get and yet the Afghan's as nation never unite, They fight and fight, when they are not fighting a external force they are fighting themselves, lets not forget that as soon as Soviets left the warlords royally Fuqed the Afghanistan and somehow they are blaming Pakistan for that as well, when ever Taliban took over in 90's this was also Pakistan's fault, then America came down bombed the crap out of them hoping that they will turn these barbarians into somewhat humans they failed, they backstab America and took billions of dollars from them only to dessert from NA ranks to Taliban within weeks, lots of Afghanis ran from their country rather than staying and fighting, and people welcome Taliban and now the same Taliban are now hosting TTP/BLA against Pakistan, supporting ISIS against Tajik's, Attacking Chinese soldiers, and treating women worse than animals and somehow that too is Pakistan's fault.. even a grain of wheat or flour send to these namak haram is literally a waste and should be declared Haram, send that much needed aid to Gaza.

There is no "AI", its repackaged machine learning. It only understands what data has been fed to it. It's why you have examples of "AI" going haywire based on bad data.

Pakistan at the time suffered the devastating earthquakes in Balakot and Azad Kashmir, and he wrote in English "May Allah send more earthquakes in Pakistan, they have hurt our people". He also had resided in Pakistan all his life before being granted refugee status in the US. Allah will or probably already has held him to account for his statement.

The death toll from Afghanistan’s worst earthquake in years jumped to over 1,400 on Tuesday with thousands more injured, authorities said, as difficult terrain hindered rescue efforts in isolated villages of the country’s mountainous eastern region.

At least 1,411 people have died, 3,124 have been injured and over 5,400 houses have been destroyed, Taliban administration spokesperson Zabihullah Mujahid said.

More people are feared trapped under rubble, said the Afghan Red Crescent Society, a humanitarian group working in the region. The United Nations coordinator in Afghanistan said the toll was likely to rise.

A magnitude 5.2 earthquake struck eastern Afghanistan later today, according to the US Geological Survey (USGS). The epicentre of the quake was 34 kilometres northeast of Jalalabad city in Nangarhar province, according to the USGS.

Afghanistan is prone to deadly earthquakes, particularly in the Hindu Kush mountain range, where the Indian and Eurasian tectonic plates meet.

The earthquake, with a magnitude of 6.0, struck around midnight local time on Sunday, at a shallow depth of 10km, with the eastern provinces of Kunar and Nangarhar being the worst hit.

Rescue operations were carried out in four badly hit villages in Kunar on Monday and efforts will now be focused on reaching more remote mountain areas, said Ehsanullah Ehsan, the provincial head of disaster management.

“We cannot accurately predict how many bodies might still be trapped under the rubble,” said Ehsan. “Our effort is to complete these operations as soon as possible and to begin distributing aid to the affected families.”

Emergency “operations continued throughout the night”, Ehsan separately told AFP.

He said there were “still injured people left in the distant villages” in need of evacuation to hospitals.

Meanwhile, villagers joined the rescue efforts, using their bare hands to clear debris from mud and stone homes built into steep valleys.

Obaidullah Stoman, 26, who travelled to the village of Wadir to search for a friend, was overwhelmed by the level of destruction.

“I’m searching here, but I didn’t see him. It was very difficult for me to see the conditions here,” he told AFP. “There is only rubble left.”

The dead, including children, were wrapped in white shrouds by villagers who prayed over their bodies before burying them.

Some of the hardest-hit villages remain inaccessible due to blocked roads, the United Nations migration agency told AFP.

Mountainous terrain and inclement weather have hindered rescuers from reaching remote areas along the border with Pakistan, where the quake flattened hundreds of mud-and-brick homes.

Access for vehicles along narrow mountain roads was the main obstacle, said Ehsan, adding machinery was being brought in to clear roads of debris.

On Tuesday, a line of ambulances was on the damaged mountain road trying to reach Kunar villages, as helicopters flew in, bringing aid supplies and taking the injured to hospitals, according to a Reuters witness.

Some of those injured have been transferred to hospitals in Kabul and the adjacent province of Nangarhar, said Ehsan.

Thousands of children were at risk, the United Nations Children’s Fund (Unicef) warned on Tuesday.

Unicef said it was sending medicines, warm clothing, tents and tarpaulins for shelter, and hygiene items such as soap, detergent, towels, sanitary pads, and water buckets.

Iran has dispatched a diplomatic delegation to eastern Afghanistan following the recent devastating earthquake.

Alireza Bigdeli, Iran’s Ambassador to Kabul, led the delegation to Kunar province to deliver humanitarian aid and assess the needs of affected communities.

In addition to Kunar, Bikdeli and his team are expected to visit other earthquake-hit provinces, including Nangarhar.

While several countries have expressed readiness to assist Afghanistan, the Iranian delegation is the first to arrive on the ground and deliver aid. Iran had officially announced its readiness to provide assistance in the initial hours following the disaster.
