I have no problem with that at all. It would only hurt the American economy and smaller American companies. Bigger companies like Meta , Nvidia, Jane Street, Goldman Sachs, etc will just hire the foreigners they want in Canada, UK , India or somewhere else . I don't see how it is good policy for the US to drive t some of the smartest people in the world out of their country.

Canada is also reducing their reliance on such workers and the current UK government is under mass pressure now and will do the same.
These talented workers need to stay in India and make their own nation great.

Many Nvidia employees in Hyderabad are already worth more than 10 million dollars from their ESOPs. It would be great if more such wealth is created in India rather than in the United States.

Considering it is Indian analysts making the statement and not US, that in and of itself should tell you something.

In the meantime, that "brain drain" from the US he is worried about should be supported. Maybe they can gather round the design table and come up with an engine on their own for the Tejas. That'll shows us a thing or two.

Trump, like any other American leader, is beholden to the oligarchs. He will do what is in the interest of the oligarchs, not for the aam awaam.

Corporations need to stop skirting around paying proper salaries to people.

The dharma of corporates is to make profits, not pay "proper salaries" to people. If they are prevented from employing Indians in USA, they will shift their jobs to Bangalore and employ Indians there.

Many of them are junior employees who probably aren't ready to branch out yet. Nvidia has several billionaire employees and about half the global workforce is worth more than 25 million dollars each.

But it will be good for India if some of the employees in India start their own companies that can be globally competitive

Some HNI Indian individuals are already setting up own businesses in tech. However, we must remember:

It is not easy to switch from an employee mindset to an entrepreneur mindset.
The business environment isn't always conducive, not in India at least.
