As for this topic, I think there is no going back to the India-America warm relations starting with Bill Clinton 2000 until the very recent past. Part of India's appeal was to contain China and now the world knows India can't even contain Pakistan, let alone China. India could still be given some special considerations by the West but I don't think the old bonhomie is coming back anytime soon.
