Pakistan-Saudi Arabia mutual defense pact: News & Discussion

So this means saudi would intervene if India attacks Pakistan and same goes for us if Isreal attack the KSA??

Does it state military intervention?

It could just mean that yes agree it's hostile act, I don't know about any additional promise of action

Let everyone say what they want. We want their truthful opinion. If someone doesn’t have a high opinion of Pakistan then we would be better off knowing it. If their opinion is wrong we can correct it. It it is true then we will be reminded of our own weaknesses.

Criticism is good. However, trolling is bad. Those are the sort of people, e.g. Indians, who want to mock us. That, obviously, should not be allowed.

Calling Pakistan that we may not eat a second time a day but we want Rolls Royce? Telling a nuke power that "we can't buy more conventional weapons because we will self destruct ourselves"??? This isn't a criticism. This is flat out national insult and THAT should never be allowed because I can write 100 insults about China and they will be VERY upset. Do we want that culture? So it's better national respect is given as partners.

We don't get free ware from China, we pay for it, even on loans China makes a good margin and they play fair with us so it's two way business. Our trade is one way in their favor anyway.

So now that any aggression against either country shall be considered an aggression against both.

i wonder what's going to be the response of Saudis if and when Sindoor 2 happens.

They could broadly pay lip service to Pakistan's narrative but also not do anything else

"Wow" - "IF" this is true. It means, that Saudia Arabia is agreeing to support Pakistan, if India attacks it.

Are we sure about this ?
Well, the Strategic Mutual Defense agreement wouldn't be much of a Strategic Mutual Defense Agreement without it.

But as I said, it will take time to operationalize and the enemy will try to test it as soon as it can to undermine it.

Well - depends how much you trust on what Pakistan "signs" versus the "reality" of what it signs up to.

I am hopeful that it is balanced and fair to both sides.

Let see...

Boss, Michael is a good contributor, with Goodwill, very knowledgeable

I think his plain, direct and precise way of speaking can be considered hostile but I do not think it is

I think it's just his honest opinion, and tbh there is good reason to be skeptical about an alliance when Pakistan does not have much surplus resource and investment takes time and consistency

It's not today. For the entire past week he's made extremely derogatory comments about Pakistan. If I start to outline comments in my direct language, he won't bear it, The Americans have 1000 insulting jokes about China. So instead of creating that culture. It's best we respect the nations and do criticism on project, products level. Not national. We need to learn to take a stand and now let others insult us and get away. Because then they will do it more like I'm seeing here.

Okay not seen all posts, I am talking from memory.

Though I would not consider his views trolling but you could be right

Field Marshal and Shehbaz's diplomacy has been unmatched so far. Anything that benefits Pakistan has my full support. Pakistan above everything.

Can't wait to see ham ghulam nahi hain PTI crowd spinning new conspiracy theories about how we are paid mercenaries and ghulam whatnot bullshit. These guys are miserable. You have PTI lobbying in the US trying to sanction us, and then we have this duo who keeps winning.

The moment Saudi Arabia greeted PM Shahbaz with four F-15s, and PM Shahbaz arrived in a PAF Airbus A310/320 instead of a mostly used Global, hell PM Shahbaz even landed in China in a Global for the Chinese parade earlier this month, then followed by the grand reception given by the Crown Prince, I knew something was up. Literally a POTUS-kinda reception.

Plus, Saudi Arabia pouring billions and billions into the pact would surely make our alliance a force to be reckoned with, let’s goooo!!!
