Also another interesting thing that could come out of this Muslim Nato military pact was ever formed is that friendship's between Saudis Turkey Iran be made so good that literally they will protect one another with their militaries. We could even have joint Turkey Saudis Pakistani Iranian Egyptian Brigades like Nato have. To be deployed at short notice anywhere in the Islamic world requiring assistance!

I must also add that current Pakistani posture is dedicated towards aggression from the east and containing threat at bare minimum... a defensive aggressive approach. Which cannot be tinkered with much... however Pakistan can and should work for a supranational offensive defense posture within a treaty organization that not only prevents aggression but has an ability to take it to the aggressor.

Now that would be something meaningful instead of optics being worked at this moment.

I think the holy cities have always been a red line for Pakistan and pretty much all muslim countries. This is formalising that aspect as well.

It is not offtopic to say this: Israel's mad dog behavior is directly proportional to Israel's control of the US domestic politics and currently that control is at its absolute peak with Trump as the President. You won't find American Presidents with skull caps constantly going to Israel before Bill Clinton 1992 and crying on the Wailing Wall like since Clinton 1992. And I don't think you will find another American President bending to Israel like Trump does.
But the mad dog, by attacking Qatar, has just made a historic blunder. There is no doubt in my mind that even the GCC Arabs have realized that something will have to be done: 'Honor' and 'Pride' are very important in the Arab world--perhaps more important culture then in any other culture. They were impotent and still are but the mad dog Israel just slapped them on their faces by attacking Qatar--this was not some attack on Jordan or Syria or Lebanon: This was on a core rich Arab state. And hence what we see was predictable though I am surprised it happened so soon and with such visible displays as seen between Saudi Arabia and Pakistan.

Yup i was telling a family member Qatar is not an ordinary Arab country they hosted the fifa world cup recently. And now when saudia will host fifa wc there can be violation of there Territoral integrity i was thinking even on going tournament if i was an Arab i would have gotten pride issues too because i have the money but i have no sovereignty surely that got to hurt badly. Good for Pakistan.if Saudis are willing to cooperate with Pakistan, they should consider giving one or two Airbases to Pakistan Air force near the Israel border. It will always be a headache for Israel even if we never take any action against them… and if we do have to defend Saudi Arabia, having been located at such a geolocation will help Saudis defend their borders.

This is true. Basically saudis are signalling that the region is anxious and is running out of patience. Now they actually wake up. Obviously they didn't believe trump when trump told them that United states wasn't aware of Israeli attack on Qatar and only knew about that minutes ago. it's all a lie and drama by both israelis and americans and arabs knew that.

This created anxiety. Qatar was hit. Qatar is not somalia. Saudis are now worried about Israeli expansion plan. obviously they still don't care about gaza which is sad but they are actually scared of israel. i can tell you from confidence that egypt is also scared but it's behaving like some super power. Look at egypt! God has given them everything but they didn't invest in their military.

Now is the right time for arabs to come forward and sign pacts. give us money, give us your airbases. rotating deployments. This will be the beginning of chinese influence in the region if pakistan played it right. it will erode US capabilities and it's wider reach in the region.

We must become an army that can operate in any country and in any circumstances. This will give us confidence and if we invest money on missile programme then we will become superpower of muslim world. We are already a superpower but we import oil. We need negotiation with saudis like give us 75%off etc. I mean it's our time. enjoy it. annex parts of afghanistan. become big. threaten india. help egyptians, turks and saudis.

Israel is looking at this development very closely. Why netanyahu mentioned UBL raid? why he mentioned Pakistan twice? the message is received. now it's time for a payback. They threatened us they will do anything that they want and they created a free air corridor over iran. Now it's our turn to threaten israel and come close to their home. Saudia is important but egypt is also very strategic.

Time to tell indians that our influence is not limited to asia.we can deploy to other countries as well. india is worried because of the reception that pak is getting after sindoor. it doesn't matter how they hit our airbases. they accepted ceasefire. they lost jets. they lost men. the damage we have caused was big and arabs were monitoring the situation. now they are asking us to protect them so we must protect them.

Trump has acted as a bull in a China shop, his thrown international order out of alignment. This is giving a real chance for countries with close brotherly relations to re-think they security approach.

An organised structure like a NATO type set up may not happen or this could be the first step to it. Lets see how this pans out in our life times, for me its a very positive news after so much death and destruction we witness across the muslim world.

Right. Qatar is not some country the rich GCC countries could ignore. Netanyahu's folly of attacking Qatar will hurt America and Israel's interests in the Middle East.

Hamid Mir, a credible Pakistani journalist, is calling the Saudi-Pakistani agreement a really big news--which it really is. AND he is also predicting two more countries are going to enter such an agreement with Pakistan.
BTW, to those who are discounting this agreement as nothing: Why have the Saudis signed off on such language now for the very first time in the long history of relationship between Pakistan and Saudi Arabia?? The Saudis know Pakistan's dire economic situation quite well , the Saudis know their commercial interests with India, and the Saudis know the hot wars between India and Pakistan. So why now after almost eight decades of relationship??

Here is the Hamid Mir video; I am disappointed they didn't enable English captions but what Mr. Mir is saying is said by several other here, including me. This is not some trivial development and is certainly tied with Netanyahu's folly of attacking Qatar.

Pakistan is attractive for a few reasons, the Nuclear umbrella, and being backed and closely supported by China who lets be real is a super power itself today. One thing should be noted, the Saudi's didnt sign a defence pact with Egypt. Egypt still have a very credible military if I am right the largest conventional force in the Arab world. Pakistan is attractive for a few reasons, the Nuclear umbrella, and being backed and closely supported by China who lets be real is a super power itself today. I would not be suprised if later we hear China knew of this, FT is reporting the US was told after the signing.

From China's POV, Pakistan has become a safer longterm investment and China will likely increase investments in Pakistani projects.
