Indian business MO.
Honestly the Brits are so dumb - sold their last steel plant to Mital, outsourced all their IT to India via Capita, sold the ship building yard to Greece, their rescue helicopter service is outsourced to the US, all their airports are run by an American giant, sold their t1 and FTTP infrastructure to israel and China - were about sub contract the construction of a new nuclear power plant to China and planned to sell their largest PCB and chip manufacturing company to China but MI6 got involved and said no.
So much for a nation that controlled most of the world at one time. The UK at its core, does not think of core sovereign capability, it unfortunately thinks of profit, above all considerations. That is why it has such a short term view of everything, and why it does not invest in anything, nor does it think of preserving core capability in anything. Look at how ARM, a crown-jewel was first sold to Japan, who then looked to try and resell it to America(Nvidia i think)

Just received another 'offer' for another Data Analyst position; sound eerily like the fraud of the other 'offer'. What gives away is that these fraudsters offering you $$ to buy laptops etc so you use them to work; reputable companies, for various reasons, force you to use their company-supplied equipment.
And of course the sender is another Indian except this time, part of the name is Indian part is Western; the previous fraud was a generic sounding American full name.
PS. The other 'offer' people have gone AWOL since I inquired with them some days ago. LOL!
Sigh!!

There are some people who deserve a good kick in the balls when they make stupid comments.@AZ_HighCountry
Agreed, Saar. Americans have the right to be armed to the teeth (and use it against their fellow Americans at the drop of a hat). Any infringement upon that must be staunchly resisted.
Regards
This email sounds pretty convincing. The only unusual things are the weekly payment amount and a check for buying equipment to setup home office. Ya looks like fraud. Sorry for the trouble
Be careful with the legitimate ones that insist on you providing your SSN as part of the screening process. Had considered doing some contract work. One of the companies that reached out was Wells Fargo. They asked for it. Said it was "a part of their candidate management process". Asked them to explain further. They waffled through an answer which failed to satisfy my concerns. Told them given their history of being hacked (several times), that they need to develop a better candidate screening program that does NOT require an SSN and that the only way they would be getting mine is AFTER my acceptance of a job offer.Thank you.
The first attempted fraud for a Data Analyst position was so well crafted: Several pages with probing questions about SQL, Data Engineering etc and in past the fraudsters wouldn't put so much effort in my experience. So that was something new and nearly fooled me. Now I think the fraudster found my resume online to tailor their fraud to target me--you know, the days of the Nigerian Prince offering $5 million are long gone. Haha!
But when that fraud asked me for my ID, after offering the job, that made me think. Why the ID right now. You know, if one has your Social Security, DOBirth, home address then that combination can be enough to defraud you. And that fraud carefully sent their emails using a slightly modified domain name of a reputable company but were too stupid to have the HR sender name as 'People People' as first and last names! That was another suspicious thing!
But, hey, there maybe a silver lining from that first fraud: I contacted the main company, which indeed had that job posted, and inquired about my job 'offer', and the main company has asked me to submit an application. So who knows?!!
