Persian Gulf
INT'L MOD
this is a bad deal. Hamas accepted all of Israel's demands. No Hamas fighters involved in October 7th attacks will be released, senior Palestinian leaders (such as Marwan Barghouti) unjustly detained will not be released, Israel will control 53% of Gaza even after their first phase withdrawal, and will control the border with Egypt and a huge buffer zone for the foreseeable future. And Hamas will release all living and dead hostages at once with no guarantee of a second phase.
But no one can criticise Hamas for accepting this deal. The situation is desperate and although they fought well against overwhelming odds, they were not able to consistently inflict the level of harm on Israel that would be needed to turn Israeli public opinion against the war.
