THINK TANK: CONSULTANT
Who made you a Think tank? Seriously??
Section IV of the Pakistan Citizenship Act, 1951, is titled "Citizenship by birth" and establishes that any person born in Pakistan after the Act's commencement is a citizen by birth. However, this is subject to two exceptions: a person is not a citizen if their father was an enemy alien at the time of their birth, or if their father was a diplomatic agent of a foreign sovereign power accredited to Pakistan and not a citizen of Pakistan.
- 2024 Amendment:
In November 2024, the National Assembly passed a bill to change this policy, and it is now the case that citizenship by birth requires at least one parent to be a Pakistani citizen or a permanent resident.- The Pakistan Citizenship Act of 1951 deals with the deprivation of citizenship from existing citizens who are found to have acted in ways against the public interest.
So the world did not exist before November 2024? Literally 11 months...
