9.6 Billion Rupees for Bulletproof Vehicles: ‘What Will Happen to These Vehicles After the SCO Summit?’

When everything is politicized then the nefarious intent of those politicizing also becomes clear.

For the vitriol spouted here by the usual suspects, this should shed some light on why this is a good decision: "According to the Global Terrorism Index 2026 published by the Institute for Economics and Peace, Pakistan leads the world as the country most impacted by terrorism, recording 1,139 deaths and 1,045 incidents."

Pakistan has a terrorist threat which is real thanks to Afghanistan and India. Pakistan can ill-afford a terrorist incident against foreign dignitaries attending this event. It is logical prudence to have the right level of protection available for our guests.

In angraizi, they have a saying "missing the forest for the tree" and the critique on this decision exactly fits the idiom.

After the SCO summit, the vehicles will be used for other visits and possibly by own government. There have been countless attacks against government officials traveling in unprotected vehicles in KP/Balochistan.

After SCO, they will be used by their teenage children cruising around isb as well as their own vvip use
At least they will be put to good use during SCO. There is some upside to all of this.

You know where the credit is due for this waste of tax money. I bet this money could save a lot in Balochistan, but never mind.
