At least they will be put to good use during SCO. There is some upside to all of this. After SCO, they will be used by their teenage children cruising around isb as well as their own vvip use
I 100% agree wih providing security. But if they can rent 300 of the required vehicles they could easily have rented these as well.. would have been cheaper. But we all know what this government is good for. So anyways, I am least bothered by what they do. We pakistanis deserve such leadersAt least they will be put to good use during SCO. No car rental company could provide such a large number of top-tier luxury sedans with high-level ballistic protection all at once.I 100% agree wih providing security. For the elites of Pakistan, the perception of prestige and snob value is worth any price. They will not swap their Maybachs for Hongqis, even if the latter were offered for free.No car rental company could provide such a large number of top-tier luxury sedans with high-level ballistic protection all at once.
Typically, nations with the necessary financial resources and demand maintain a state fleet of ceremonial vehicles managed by their protocol departments; such fleets permanently include these types of luxury sedans.
Countries with limited financial means or lower demand often seek sponsorship from automakers. Manufacturers provide a sufficient number of these vehicles to the conference organizers free of charge, receiving appropriate promotional exposure in return. Once the conference concludes, the manufacturers reclaim the vehicles and resell them after undergoing necessary processing.
Many Chinese automakers covet opportunities like this; it represents a prime chance for publicity, and many have participated in similar events. —Of course, China’s premier state motorcades remain the exclusive domain of "Hongqi" vehicles; no other brand can compete with it.
If the Pakistani government were to seek sponsorship from Hongqi for this event, I imagine they would be very willing to participate. Alternatively, if you were to approach BYD, their "Yangwang" series of luxury vehicles would also be an excellent choice.
