Aftermath of the Iran-US war and its effects on proximities

Pakistan cannot completely fall for this missile city strategy however. Pakistani war strategy is built on nato war theory that assumes relative air superiority and assuming the paf wiil be unable to help completely throws away the entire conventional military doctrine
what i mean is we should not make forces dependant on each other soo much that they cant operate if one gets taken out. build evey piece on the assumption that all else will fail . build paf with sceanario that IADS has completely failed .this is why IRGC-AF is so potent they built it thinking iranian AD and AF will not be there .

also PAF loosing importance is never happening ever .

100% correct Ibby, no replacenent for a powerful air force, missile silos should ideally serve as a parallel strength to make up for our weaknesses like long-ranged strikes, smaller size of air force, and last fall back

Iran is a good example of this

The reason the iranians are getting pummeled rn is because they failed to build a decent iads and more importantly a strong airforce. Truth be told a lot of it isnt their fault and most of the big mistakes that haunt them now were made 2 decades ago but Pakistan must learn. Parallel millitaries like irgc and regulars cause a lot of infighting and conflict of interests. The next war must be planned by NCA SFCs ARFC and PAF if Pakistan wants to win

See i get your point but the fact is there is no conventional contigency plan for if paf gets taken out and this is partially by design. Pakistani war strategy simmilar to nato depends on PAF to exist and be available to navy and army. This is because the services are unable to conduct offensive operations without air cover and most of Pakistans long range attack vectors are controlled by paf. This strategy ensures that responsibility and capability is handed out evenly to other services and they can concentrate on their goals rather than building redundant resources to fill gap left by paf. Fact of matter is without paf the only viable option is escalate to nuclear threshold which is why PAF will never be overshadowed in conventional war fighting capability

According to some forum members, Asim Munir reads these, so I'm sure your guys' suggestions will be heard.
The new GHQ idea is still there for E-8 because if there is something faujis love its plots and “اے تھلے بجری ڈال “

But the funds and priorities have been so far sensibly overruled by security concerns

Beijing underground military city, 10x the size of Pentagon

This is a classic case of fake news.

China's underground command center has been publicly known for a long time. The Central Military Commission Joint Operations Command Center (JOCC) is located hundreds of meters underground deep in the mountains northwest of Beijing. It is more than ten kilometers away from Zhongnanhai (the central government compound) in a straight line, connected by a dedicated underground railway. China's VIP military and political airport, "Beijing Xijiao Airport," is only a few kilometers away from this location.

The issue is the funding primarily I guess but there would be major benefits.
1. Release the burden on a small-sized PAF overwhelmed in other tasks (DCA, OCA, etc)
2. Reliably be able to strike long-distance targets that can't be reached by PAF — deep inside India or elsewhere (you get the gist)
3. Provide a fallback in the event PAF is wiped out to sustain an offensive capacity.
These 3 are serious major vulnerabilities that this could at least contribute to relieving.
Rocket Force with a couple missile silo cities would be amazing but the pockets say no
At the national level, constructing a robust underground facility capable of withstanding a nuclear attack is not difficult.

The greatest challenge lies in ensuring that this facility maintains command and control over the national armed forces even in extreme circumstances. National leaders and military commanders entering this command center must maintain control and command over the country. Otherwise, their presence there is meaningless.

Pakistani doctrine has been mobility , not digging deep.

Who is WE? Why the collective shaming? Is meh aam admi ka kya kasoor hai meray bahi?

You want to know what Pakistanis lack? Perspective and objectivity. I am fearing people will burn their own country tomorrow...
I apologize , people don’t know or learn from thier history! Present company excluded!

A mix of building deep underground for command centers, and more dispersal for our Airforce.

Maybe in a perfect world we could park some jets in Bagram airbase father away from Indian missile attacks.

That is for nukes, not C&C nodes
you have to store nukes somewhere they cant be on the move 24/7

also does any one know how we move our nuclear materials and weapons (@safriz )

The schism widens. Question is whether it will widen enough to see a strong pushback against foreign bases after the war is over.

Top Republican lawmaker tells US’s Gulf allies to ‘step up’
US Senator Lindsey Graham has criticised Washington’s allies in the Gulf, including Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates, for refusing to take part in the US and Israel’s war on Iran.

Speaking on Fox News, Graham noted that the UAE has declared it will not let its territory be used for attacks against Iran and said, “This is so disappointing.”

“We need partners that will step forward in a fight that we can’t afford to lose,” he said.

Graham said he wanted the US’s friends in Saudi Arabia and other countries “to step forward and say, ‘This is my fight, too'”.

He added, “To our Arab friends, I’ve tried to help you construct a new Middle East. You need to up your game here.”

The top Republican senator also criticised Spain, which has said it will not let the US use joint military bases on its territory for the war against Iran.

“To our allies: Step up,” Graham said. “Get our airbases out of Spain. They’re not reliable. Move all those aeroplanes to a country that would let us use them when we’re threatened by a regime like Iran.”

I saw some mentions that in 2000s Pakistan used to move nuclear materials in regular unmarked suzuki bolans and civilian trucks because they just didn’t trust cia operating in Pakistan at the time
