American man reveals Indian CEO took over a firm, booted out founders, hired Indians. Post goes viral amid H1B visa debate

So what you mean to say is that there are less Vietnamese in US than Indians, ok it's rocket science for you maybe

Where did I say that?

But what does size of company to do with Indians being "most egregious than others"?

I already explained twice, with numbers. If you still don't understand then you are hurting your own cause that Indians are super smart.

I am sure other readers see why percentages don't tell the whole story without size of company being taken into account. If we look at total numbers, then over 70% of H1-B visas go to Indians, for several years going. Nobody with a straight face can claim that only India can provides 70% of the skilled workforce in the world.

Don't act coy, let me dumb it down, gawd I hate this so much

Company A(Indian owned/managed)
- 4000 employees out of which 500 are ethnic Indians

Company B (Vietnamese owned/managed)
-200 employees out of which 100 are ethnic Vietnamese

Which company is more "nepotistic"?

Based on the below, actual real events and different events, anyone willing to say there is zero problem at all with h1b?

This affects Americans, hence why discussed here

Blame Pakistan for this?

Do you know this % is only going to get higher if H1B caps are removed 🤣
This is funny?

Ok

Better hope Americans don't get too disgruntled, can't see any good coming from this if continue longer term

If they get "disgruntled", they can always change their policies. It is America's choice, let Americans decide.

@Developereo

If China can manufacture 70% of most critical mass consumption items, why cant IND provide 70% H1B?

Regards
As if they are comparable

I guess Americans are best placed to opine on this

Many grads want to get into tech

Many parents want their kids to get into tech in the USA

Questions are being asked how can you have tech lay offs but increased h1b from mainly India

What do you, let's say an Indian h1b, tell Americans who ask this?

Look at the news links, the actual law and regulatory authorities have expressed disgruntlement

That's the thing, you won't actually look where h1b related issues have been penalised

Are they made up?

Meritocracy and capitalism has worked for US for all these years, if it wants to change course and bring a DEI quota for Americans in tech jobs, it is their choice.
But it has it's own consequences, and one thing is sure that America isn't stupid.

Company B (Vietnamese owned/managed)
-200 employees out of which 100 are ethnic Vietnamese

Why are you afraid to use the full formula?

#companies * average #employees/company * %nepotism
Vietnam. 1000 * 10 * 0.4 = 4000
India: 500 * 200 * 0.25 = 25000

So, percentage wise, the Vietnamese are ahead but total head count, Indians are ahead. Again, let's bring this home to what this discussion is about: nobody cares if someone hires their family and relatives to run the family cafe or lawnmowing business. Lots of people of all ethnicities and backgrounds do that.

The discussion here is about high paying so-called skilled migrant jobs and the H1-B data is crystal clear in showing the bias. These jobs and visas are supposed to be based purely on skill, and nobody is going to believe that over 70% of the global high tech talent just happens to arise in India year in and year out.

@r3alist bro has answered the Q without intending to. Americans may be able to do the tech jobs but IND H1Bs can do it much cheaper, that is why the low wage growth. Chinese keep the manufacturing jobs, INDs keep some of the low end tech jobs. I see nothing wrong in it.

The rise of the US is not a fluke. A well managed corporate mindset meets a continent with navigable rivers and abundant resources (including a large percentage of the world’s fresh water), and you have the most self sustainable place on earth.
Corporations did not exist in large numbers and large sizes until 1870s

What is wrong in running software business with your buddies and classmates ? Anti-discrimination lawsuits apply only for businesses of 15 employees and larger.

The real problem with the technology industry is that many jobs are never advertised. Good luck filing a anti-discrimination lawsuit for a job you never applied to. It is maddening because his royal highness has missed out on many an opportunity.
