ArsTechnica: China reveals a new [Long March 9] heavy lift rocket that is a clone of SpaceX’s Starship

I keep forgetting any designs the US does is the pinnacle in the optimization of solving a problem and nobody should ever dare attempt to try wasting time on any other design through their own attempts at innovation.

Why attempt to climb mountains yourself when you can hang onto the shoulders of giants.
US follows ideas and inventions of so many other countries, the world is not only 300 years old like US.

Except what we do constantly makes the history books and is taught in schools around the world as progress for mankind...while what you do consistently doesn't because you are always simply matching something previously done.

This should have been accomplished by China 5 years ago instead of SpaceX.

Instead of looking at what has already been done you should have been looking at what has not been done.

Your "history book" are too short, in China we term them as contemporary science, they are not history books.
You are kind of funny to believe that only US can invent and innovate, countries rise and fall, all countries have their time in the history, I mean real human history, 99% of the time US was not there in it.

That's World History books...not US history books. :)

Do you really think China is mentioned much in the History books of countries around the world compared to the US when it comes to the progression of science and technology for the benefit of mankind?

:ROFLMAO:

All those thousands of years of China condensed into a tiny footnote.
An example of Chinese historical "soft" power.

What about a thousand years from now? Your so called inventions could mean less than a footnote and your America could be just another short lived entity disappeared in the world history, you feel you are so important just because you are now living in this time. Please don't always try to show your ignorance here.

Don't worry a thousand years from now China will be insisting everything in history was invented by them and all their sheepish citizens will be nodding in unison and silencing those who say otherwise.

Lol, at least we will still be there and you could have long disappeared by then. You believe the world history just ends today and you can generalise the whole human history now and declare you are the eternal all mighty, lol.. so dumb, Mongols believed the same at some point in the history, back then they were way more powerful than you are now.

For we Chinese, 1,000 years is still a short history in ours, For Americans, 10 years feels like eternity.

I think it is pretty much a given China will go on a successful world campaign of race extermination and planet takeover...so yes it is true.

You will rewrite all of history claiming everything from the beginning was yours. Those Chinese who say different will be silenced.

You always resort to mindless trolling after running out of arguement. You are really a lousy debator.

Possible but apparently they were also showing it last year..so they may be serious.

Well, it was specifically mentioned that the project is not yet approved, therefore It is just at the research stage by the Deep Space Lab, which is a research institute in exploring technical path.

On the other hand, CASC which is a major builder of most China rocket has just say this in CCTV interview,

Partially reusable Long March 9 (reusable 1st-stage) is expected to first fly around 2030. The fully reusable variant will fly sometime between 2033 and 2035.

In the above screen shot loosely translated it was said:
Our academy (1st academy of CASC, aka China Academy of Launch Vehicle Technology) has innovatively proposed a net recovery system that would improve payload ratio efficiency, and this technology has seen break through in the recent two years. Currently the progress is going smoothly, already completed the production of ground system. Current plan is test flight in 2026. We don't forsee problem and this will support our national manned lunar project from 2027 to 2030.

About the net rocket recovery system,

Recent rapid development of China killed the last ounce of the remaining US confidence.

So fully reusable means the top half of the rocket needs to survive re-entry at orbital speed...which would be the version with the 4 fins.

Rapid development? You've been planning the Long March 9 since before 2016 and nothing has even made it to the launch pad. Meanwhile SpaceX is only a few launches from greenlighting full production of the Starship which is 200 tons to LEO in expendable mode and 100-150 tons in reusable mode.

Then what made you think Chinese ones are just copies of US while they have not even been produced? Different countries have different priorities, like China makes its space station like a five stars hotel while US astronauts are wasting away being stuck in the international space station. Don't tell us we copied yours' too cause you don't even have one.
