hat problem exists across civilian institutions regardless of whatever political theory you have constructed in your head, and whatever political party has been in power.

And here's the simplest test:

Remove the military from politics tomorrow. Would PIMS suddenly become functional?

Would the same bureaucracy disappear?
Would incompetent administrators suddenly become competent?

How were civilian institutions destroyed? Who gave vacancies on a political basis? NS/Zaradri (Mayo, Railway, PIA). If yes, where did they get the patronage from despite corruption and incumbency? Why were NROs given?
Why our hockey/cricket is no good anymore? Sure, if the current system or Army goes back, the bogus structure cannot sustain as it is rotten from the inside.

So if you are blaming the military for a specific death, show the specific military decision that caused it. Not “they rule the country,” not “CMH is better,” not “the government was installed by them.”

All doors, including the fire escape, were locked for security reasons (terrorism + child abduction). That prevented the fire brigade from accessing the children's ward through a shortcut. Whose responsibility is security? Who appointed the IG and Commissioner in Islamabad? Isn't he some captain?

CMH serves the armed forces, the rulers of the country since 1958, whereas government hospitals are for the general public aka the bloody civilians. The population pool the well-resourced CMH serves is miniscule compared to what the poorly resourced public hospitals have to serve. If a bloody civilian with money goes to CMH, they are still put at the back of the line and no poor man will be tolerated at CMH or in private hospitals.

This is the unjust system whose praises you are singing.


Who are you to dispute actual witnesses and victims at the scene ?

Your doctor pay in Pakistan and then whatever big bucks you must now be making in America are nothing compared to the pain of parents who lost their newborns in a hospital fire due to the negligence and cowardice of the staff. For you to even speak like this indicates a narcissistic personality.

And FYI this particular institution, PIMS, has also been taken over by the army in its long encroachment into everything outside of its domain. Why else do you think PIMS was selected to sabotage a recent Supreme Court ruling ?

Unlike in Gaza where the IDF switched them off or actually shot the babies in the heads.

So you can forget or ignore this tragedy - and the fact heads may need to roll for it - by waving the red flag of Israel-hatred. Antisemitism sure has its uses, doesn't it? Jew-hatred trumps investigation, accountability, and even sympathy.

Best to investigate why the fire-suppression systems didn't kick in. Maintenance? Poor design? And comfort the parents for real, rather than invoking hatred.

Yeh waterboy sounds like a fauji brat who got easy admission into free medical school and training in Pakistan and now makes the big bucks in Amreeka. Of course he thinks everything is hunky dory.
