Azerbaijan Air Force Becomes Fourth Operator of JF-17 Fighter Aircraft, President Aliyev Confirms

JF already proved it's A2G capabilities back in 2019, this time around it proved it's A2A capabilities along with it's SEAD capabilities ... the last nail in the coffin would be a naval encounter other than that JF-17 has proved itself to be a potent multirole fighter

An Azerbaijani PL-15E will certainly not be the same spec as Pakistani one. I think China will have trust issues there. It will probably the most base export version.
That may be true. They would probably be offered the PL-15E but even then I think its range is more than Turkish ones

that is why Turkish BVRs are part of the package for Azerbijan.
The Gökdoğan has a 100 km range, so if Azerbaijan opts for this, that choice would be driven more by political considerations than by pure capability.

The price is very expensive to me for what is now a 'medium cost' fighter ? That makes me suspect that the article is not correct.

Depends if the deal includes development work to include a Turkish weapons package

I think one of the great advantages of the JF17 is for the buyer to request such developments if they are willing to pay for them

Maybe the deal is a system, ZDK-03 + JF-17 + HQ-9 or more.

correct me if am wrong. i believe its all abot customization. turkish sensors turkish radars turkish missiles. when you customize according to your need then you have to pay the price. its all about customer. we will give you what you want but you have to pay the price of customization
