So, as per Reuters, BLA had Noushki under their control for three whole days before the military wrestled it back from the militants by deploying additional troops, helicopters, and drones.

Are they exaggerating or what? I mean, how can a ragtag militia without any proper heavy weaponry 'hold' a big town like this? We have seen how the BLA militants just ran away on the sight of our MRAP (Sariyab road, Quetta encounter?), but they 'held' Noushki for three days?!?! wtf? Massive local support is my honest guess, if this is indeed true, because Noushki is one of the biggest BLA hubs out there.

Remoteness and priorities of defensive ops may be. Before reinforcements arrived, they must have been busy somewhere else as the whole province was under attack at the same time. Local forces may have 'retreated' till the reinforcements arrived.

India is succeeding in its goal of having the international community equate Balochistan with IoK. The Taliban are obviously helping the BLA at this point and solidifying their relations with India. A political solution in Balochistan and dialogue with the Taliban to stop supporting BLA are urgently needed.

There is no military solution in Baluchistan, just like KPK. We are long past that point.

Noushki is one of the biggest BLA hubs out there.

That is true. Naushki, Washuk, Kharan, Dalbandin, and Chagai, roughly an oval shaped area adjoining the border is a BLA epicentre. Everyone knows that, but where tf are the appropriate defences to tackle exactly these situations?

A massive failing imo.

Hit and run attacks are understandable considering the terrain and the sparse nature of the areas. But these f@gs were launching full scale operations. Heads should roll in the security apparatus in an ideal world.
