Dad of a friend of mine worked on a project installing water pumps in southern Balochistan, they were all stolen within a matter of weeks

Not entirely true. If Balochistan was treated better as a state and part of Pakistan, groups like BLA would not have the level of recruitment and support they do today. Maybe BLA is just 1500 to 2500 people but the silent support within the province is widespread and unfortunately GROWING. Who's fault this is, that's not important. At the end of the day finger gets pointed on the entire Pakistani state.

Many people in Sibi and Quetta are not happy or satisfied with their lives. Many will go into smuggling and other practices. Some will join BLA or at least become informant for them.



It is easy for us to sweep every under the rug of 'Fitna Al Hindustan'. It's got the Islamic touch and it highlights foreign support for these groups but then again, what intelligence agency in the world doesn't do these things? Wo to karray gay. Rokna tou hamara kaam hay. That's how this game goes.

People of balochistan should get their rights like everyone else

But bla isn't doing what it is doing because of some lacks of rights. Just like ttp isn't bombimg because of lack of sharia

Another failure and this is just a short while ago when the BLA attacked trains. You'd through the military would learn to be more pro-active here.
Videos made yesterday of an all female division were indicative of this.
It's a mix of both i.e. soft and hard power, but when has the state been actually serious of making major changes for the better in the region? Aside CPEC, not much.
To be fair even with economic uplift, it won't stop the BLA, they are far gone with major hostile powers invested in them.
The killing of their leaders needs to be upscaled many times, and you need to keep killing their cadres. This has had an effect.

Anyway, dua to our fallen people, at this point the current admin is beyond useless and the military is engaged in other things.

One should watch what the CM of Baluchistan Mr. Bugti says about the issues of Baluchistan. Per him, Baluchis are better off being part of Pakistan as they are sent to places like Oxford University. Baluchistan is indeed given a lot of resources on per capita basis. I don't buy the BS about 'rights not given' blah blah. Per the CM, even many of the 'missing persons' have been found to have connections with the terrorists but the Pakistani society made all of them sound like true victims.

There are African countries and millions of people in these countries that lives in much much dire conditions, they have no food/water, hence they eat whatever they can find in jungles, but you will not hear suicide bombing news from these African countries.

I was going through news headlines of major Pakistani news channels.

So either this is completely ignored or given slight coverage right at the end.

Most of the headlines were about the exploits of Munir and SS.

This is a drawback of having a governing/security structure with no oversight and or accountability.

We are in a disfunctional security state that lacks the one thing it is designed for i.e. Security.

Your foreign policy exploits are not going to band aid some very deep fissures in your country.

Pakistan pulled off a huge diplomatic coup in July of 1971....that didn't prevent the debacle 5 months later.
