Connectivity is improving in Baluchistan and locals are happier. And with CPEC taking a firm hold, more economic uplifts going to happen. Pakistani planners are well aware of the importance of Baluchistan. They are not the Nero playing flute to watch Baluchistan burn; on the contrary.

I would argue Gwadar is the most important for Pakistani state, because of its strategic importance as well as Chinese presence over there. They have walled it up the best way they can. Rest of Balochistan may be secondary....

Now America is at peace, they wrap up the war, no more soldiers in Afghanistan wasting their lives to make Afghans civilized human beings, so saying that Army in Pakistan is not correct, we keep killing T's almost every other day but they just keep reproducing like cockroaches.

If the U.S, NATO can't fix these people with all their resources, then what can we do???????

Not entirely true. If Balochistan was treated better as a state and part of Pakistan, groups like BLA would not have the level of recruitment and support they do today. Maybe BLA is just 1500 to 2500 people but the silent support within the province is widespread and unfortunately GROWING. Who's fault this is, that's not important. At the end of the day finger gets pointed on the entire Pakistani state.

Many people in Sibi and Quetta are not happy or satisfied with their lives. Many will go into smuggling and other practices. Some will join BLA or at least become informant for them.



It is easy for us to sweep every under the rug of 'Fitna Al Hindustan'. It's got the Islamic touch and it highlights foreign support for these groups but then again, what intelligence agency in the world doesn't do these things? Wo to karray gay. Rokna tou hamara kaam hay. That's how this game goes.

Whole country is in sh+t situation. That Balochistan and Parts of KpK are much better. They are enjoying duty free and tax free economy. Cheap Iranian fuel and other stuff. They better not wish to live like slave with hundered types of taxes and bills. Look at how much electricity bills people are paying in Punjab and Sindh. You can raise an entire family with that money in kpK and Balochistan. That's why they have 20 children per average and half of them join BLA and rest suck off to state of Pakistan.

People on this forum can't even differentiate between BLA and TTP anymore. I'm seeing numerous posts in this thread already tying BLA resurgence to people crossing Afghan border a few days back.

BLA is a different kind of animal. Yes it's bigwigs also stay outside of Pakistan. In Iran or Afghanistan and sometimes when Oman which has a sizeable Baloch population.

However, their main recruitment backyard is INSIDE Pakistan proper. Within Balochistan, and not the Irani Sistan side. This is failure of different scale.

The rate at which BLA leaders are killed or arrested is way too slow. They probably have multiple replacements lined up. Just like any other insurgent group. Guerilla war is not rocket science they don't need PhD holders.

Honestly, there are multi layered issues at play here.

Successive governments have failed to develop Balochistan. The province only comes to the fore when gas, gold, copper or other minerals need to be extracted.

You’ve got establishment and its players incentivized to keep the borders leaked to smuggle oil at cheaper rates across the border.

CPEC was a chance to change all that, but the politicians wanted a haircut and establishment failing to provide security to make the investment worthwhile.

Gwadar’s development is at a standstill. There is negligible economic activity.

There has to be a multi pronged strategy. Develop the province, educate its people, give their people proper representation (not ISI recruits), while launching targeted operations against the terrorists.

This whole social contract of the government have with Balochis needs to be reset.
