Balochistan Terrorism Watch

What? Terrorists make up a tiny fraction of the population there. It’s the terror that keeps them scared of the terrorists. A visible lack of state action to engage and encourage the populace to come out and show their will is playing its own part in the deterioration of the state writ. I think political leadership has a more crucial role to play than military command.
No they don't, this is a lie spread by Pakistan to keep people calm

BLA has wide spread support in Balochistan among the old and young, especially in its suicide bombings and murdering people of non-Baloch ethnicity

Balochistan in the current state is in a dead-lock.

> You kill a few militants
> More militants recruited
> You kill more
> instability and blackmail against the state continues

You are stuck in this cycle for decades, which is why Pakistan went to sardars to buy support

Saw this on another forum and it's 100% accurate.

"The American strategy of "winning hearts & minds" was designed to tackle insurgenies on foreign soil, not for defeating ethnic separatism at home. Buying loyalties through incentives is only temporary (extortion) and not a long-term solution for stability, as it can (usually does) simply erupt again.

Going by globally proven examples that actually worked, there are no real effective ways to defeat separatism apart from diluting the demographics of a region. Otherwise, you remain stuck in a never-ending battle against militants without complete state writ over the areas.

Turkey (Kurdish region) , China (Xinjiang), Sri Lanka (Tamilian) , and maybe Bangladesh (Chakma)."

That's what Zionists and their allies want other to believe. Who cares. You keep believing in that.

The reality is that the life is going normal in most areas in Balochistan. Only a few remote areas in a few districts are suffering from terrorists activities and that too in the dark of night.

As the development work progresses and political process (by popular political parties) picks up, we will see a much better ground realities in the province.

Military's disastrous experiment of installing PTI in Pakistan resulted in the deterioration in every walk of life in Pakistan. The impact of that failure is more pronounced in Balochistan where the insurgency grew more in the absence of genuine political process.

I'm not a PTI supporter and I'm not a fan of it.

I'm just analysing things from a neutral perspective and giving you a solution that's more relevant.

Keep in mind it wasn't meant to be an anti-Pakistan post. I'm just telling you the level of local support drawn and how historically the only way to defeat such separatism was via demographic engineering, otherwise militancy will sustain itself at a low level forever and remain an unstable region.

This reminds me, I forgot to post this but TTP has recently started using weaponized drones in their attacks. As of now they are quite crude but they are slowly refining them. A worrying trend nonetheless.

Here's an excerpt from it:

There have been at least 6 suspected attacks in the last two months in North Waziristan tribal district, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa which officials believe were “Quadcopter Borne IEDs” targeting security facilities and transport.

“Although it has not had much of a physical impact in terms of damages, the development is worrisome,” at least two senior security officials told The Khorasan Diary. This is the first-ever acknowledgement of UAVs being used in militancy within Pakistan.

The attacks have been mainly concentrated in the areas of North Waziristan district, in areas Mir Ali and Miranshah, the officials elaborated. “we recovered pieces of the quadcopter when on September 3 2024, two petroleum company vehicles were attacked”.

“The technology is still very nascent and seems to be locally assembled, where a bottle filled with explosives between 400 to 700 grams are tied to a quadcopter and detonated with grenades,” said a source who was part of the investigation to collect forensic evidence. “To add to its lethality nails and ball bearings are added, much like the kamikaze,” the source added.

Forensic analysis shows that the quadcopter drones are manufactured by Da-Jiang Innovations (DJI), a Chinese company that manufactures drones. No militant group has formally claimed the usage of drone technology.
I would also like to point out that the BLA also utilizes drone technology, more so for reconnaissance. Earlier this year during an attack on a post, they released video footage from a drone hovering above the post while it was being assaulted. In their training videos too they use drones for recording propaganda footage. I see it simply as a matter of time until Baloch groups start to weaponize them and attack static isolated posts.

QUETTA: Four alleged militants have been killed in an operation carried out by the Counter Terrorism Department (CTD) of Balochistan police in the Khuzdar area.

Officials said the CTD conducted the operation based on intelligence regarding the presence of armed militants wanted by law enforcement agencies for various terrorist incidents.

During the operation, there was a heavy exchange of gunfire, resulting in the deaths of the four alleged terrorists.

The bodies of the militants have been shifted to the district hospital in Khuzdar; however, they have not yet been identified. Further investigation is in progress.

An attack against security convoy in Kalat resulted in casualties. Possibly an IED attack.

Fighting the Terrorists ? And that reason is that our Pakistan military, and those of our other security services , is geared to 'conventional' war, and is ill-suited to asymmetrical, guerrilla war where the enemy TTP and BLA is not clearly defined by our planners ☹️

We have a conventional military, the vast man of our military is utterly useless against such fighting, everything from jets to ships to missiles unless you want some town or city flattener beyond recognition

At the same time this is low level terrorism, their is no great insurgency, it's just a constant insecurity that will affect a particular area

The problem is resolving this type of conflict is difficult

The state can't bend, it can't make any deals with enemies of the country or separatists, it's got to keep hitting them
But when finance is a issue, you can't equip every internal patrol with the necessary equipment when you don't know when and ware you will have a attack

I think the state has to become much more aggressive and start wiping out these people and their familiars, we need to go heavier and heavier on the IBOs and make it painful for the enemies of Pakistan
