Bangladesh Army

Yes we will oon. BD has signed a contract with a Turkish company to stablish an automated Turn-key production line for 105mm and 155mm artillery rounds.

Not only this, should also produce mortar shells, grenades, RPGs etc. Simple things that can be easily produced in BD.

They expire, firing excercise also depletes stocks.... but for sure every single purchase especially in the last 5 years has been insignificant or downgraded weapons... idk why we got downgraded vt5s no sensors, two generations old optics... no APS like what is going on...

not to mention new APC purchase that was made right before Hasina's fall.... substandard TATA made APCs that even indians don't use

Guys remember the AK15 tender that was discussed? guess why it didn't materialize... not because of corona but interference from RAW... they had two indian intelligence officers stationed in bd observing every procurement... Crazy

This may be a part of an earlier order under the IG.

My opinion is that the previous ammo have expired on the surface.

If one were more cynical, Hasina did not want the army to be be battle-ready in a moment's notice. There were speculations that the Indian military would intervene if she were to get into trouble somehow. But this did not materialize. Using military force on students in another country will not make the Indians look good and put them at odds with the Americans and her Western allies.

That's what I call a masterstroke.

Did this come in the first direct maritime shipping from karachi?

This was a Panama-flagged vessel set sail from Dubai to Chattogram via Karachi.

Only a few fled... one or two arrested... rest are all still in chain of command... it's a circus rn and Hasina is still running the show from behind, atleast the top COC.

During the visit, the Army chief received 'Darbar' for the soldiers of all ranks working in 7th Infantry Division and Barisal area, and 'Officer's Address' for Army officers.

While addressing, the Army chief said the law and order situation is improving in the country as the Bangladesh Army is sincerely performing the assigned responsibilities in this regard.

He directed all the army personnel to continue to extend full cooperation to the civil administration and the people of the country with patience and professionalism considering the overall situation of the country.

Army chief expressed optimism that as a symbol of people's trust, every army member will perform his/her duty with utmost devotion to maintain the peace and order of the country by sensibly using the magisterial power given by the state.

The Army chief later called upon everyone to be ready to face the tough challenges of the 21st century through modern and up-to-date training.

Besides, Waker-Uz-Zaman inspected and monitored the overall progress of various ongoing projects under the division for the infrastructural development of the newly constructed cantonment.

During the visit, apart from the senior military officers of the headquarters and Barisal area, junior commissioned officers, soldiers of other ranks, civil officers and employees were present.
