Chief of Army Staff Visits Army Camps in the Chittagong Hill Tracts

Dhaka, 29 October 2026 (Thursday): Chief of Army Staff General Waker-Uz-Zaman, SBP, OSP, SGP, PSC, visited the Khagrachhari Region in the Chittagong Hill Tracts today to inspect army camps located in this remote, hilly terrain. During the visit, he inspected an army camp under the Baghaichhari Zone within the Khagrachhari Region.

While interacting with the deployed personnel, the Chief of Army Staff inquired about various aspects of their operational duties. He commended the soldiers for their dedication and sincerity in maintaining peace, stability, and security in the Chittagong Hill Tracts, despite the challenging environment and limited facilities. Furthermore, he instructed all personnel to continue performing their assigned duties with the utmost professionalism, vigilance, and sense of responsibility.

The visit was attended by the Engineer-in-Chief of the Army; the General Officer Commanding (GOC) of the 24th Infantry Division and Area Commander of the Chittagong Area; as well as senior military officials from Army Headquarters and the respective area, alongside army personnel of various ranks.
