Bangladesh Socio-Political Crisis 2024 and onwards

Well written. This gotta stop. People with little idea on how state apparatus works screaming left and right, this traitor! that traitor!

If you are high enough there is always going to connections and links of communication with everyone. This is how modern system works. It doesn’t instantly makes you someone's lackey. There is so much going on behind the scenes that we don't know or understand. Unless we have very specifics we gotta stop making vile accusations.

What we should criticize and oppose is too much compromises on policy level. (Instead of smearing and personal attacks.) Which BNP is seems to be doing right now.

As long as parties play by some basic rules, (which BAL didn't. They rigged the playing field) you have to tolerate them, work with them when broader interest converge. 'Either with me or against me' mindset is not gonna work in our current political set up/or any political set up for that matter.

In a country like ours where everything is trash, (people, culture, norms) you expect political parties to stand tall and righteous and become the beacon of virtue? They are only a reflection of us. If you want that kind of change then you gotta start with yourself and at a micro-level.

India's double standards condemnable, objectionable: Asif Nazrul

Justice and Parliamentary Affairs Adviser Asif Nazrul today condemned India's recent remarks on Bangladesh's treatment of minorities, calling them hypocritical and objectionable.

His response comes after India's Ministry of External Affairs issued a statement, expressing concern over the arrest of a former Iskcon Bangladesh leader.

In a post on his verified Facebook page, Asif criticised India for its unjustified concerns about Bangladesh's situation while remaining silent on the plight of its own Muslim population.

He wrote, "India's unwarranted concerns over Bangladesh's situation continue unabated. Ironically, while numerous atrocities against the minority Muslim community persist within India, there seems to be little qualms or remorse over the incidents.

"India's double standards are both condemnable and objectionable."

Well done.👏👏

You cannot lock up pro-US stooges - when the government you support is being propped up by the US.

Quite simple really!
Why do you write something that has actually no weight? These so called journalists aren't pro USA. They are nothing but raw moles.

Bangladeshi showbiz and media is full of raw moles.

Insider news: an student party is coming! By January next year or at least Before the end of February.

Good news if true. The students, professionals, clean politicans need to create a new revolutionary party for Bangladesh, a party that places Bangladesh first and protects the change. They may not find success initially but slowly can build themselves up.

The interim government is trying to ban student politics in campus. One question do you guys really think the interim government and army will allow students to dictate the future of Bangladesh politics and governance.

Essentially you are looking at a BD version of PTI minus a charismatic leader. May I remind you that such a party will never get anywhere unless it has the Neutrals on board. We have no reason to believe yet that the BD Neutrals are in favour of such a Kings party.

Then BNP will come to power, or possibly a reformed AML in the future and the students will be sidelined when the situation is calm. I agree, PTI style party comes to power we may see a clash between Neutrals and the party, the Neutrals have their own long term policies and any revolutionary party that challenges everything will end up clashing. Bangladesh needs a clean political party, with students, youth, clean politicians and technocrats, they must find a way forward, to work with all neighbours, military and the opposition. I think this will work.

@PakAl

With due respects, sir, politics is the art of adjustment and of the possible. Eventually political processes will have to be allowed to mature in all the three nation states in the subcontinent. Political parties, by a process of trial and error, will yield results, although not as fast we may want them to.

Do you all remember him?

He was the first active duty armed forces man to actively speak out against Hasina through a video online which went viral. He declared he will not take up arms against his countrymen. Really happy to see him still in the force. We absolutely need men like him to stay.

yes, I do. Great to see he is being recognized.

She further said, “I have said these things in the media and in my speeches, but they (Awami League) have never mentioned it in the media or in their statements. They have changed my statement and published it.”

~ Wife of Major Tanvir Haider, who died in the Peelkhana tragedy (2009)

Indian special forces or commandos were also involved in the 2009 Peelkhana massacre and that is why the Bangladesh Army, Awami League and the current interim government do not want a proper and thorough investigation.
