Bangladesh Socio-Political Crisis 2024 and onwards

Breaking News - Updates from Social Media

Sounds of gunfire still in some parts of the country. Looks like BAL thugs didn't get the memo or trying one last time to reinstate Hasina. Firing reported in Uttara Dhaka and Rajshahi.

These two Hasina Loyalist Generals - gen Mujib and Gen Ziaul is trying to create division within army to reinstate Hasina.

Yes, but He did a flip because of intense pressure from army, but gave her a safe exit to India. Or else people would have killed her today.

Yeah he would've been dragged to the streets and beaten to death.

Congratulations To the brave men and women fighting for a free Bangladesh. May Allah give you success . Ameen

A nation that fights for its freedom can never fail.

Latest report from Journalist Zulkarnain Sami - India and UK denied entry to Hasina. She is seeking alternative to enter Belarus now. Also, no BAF pilot wants to fly her to her destination.

Bangladesh has an extradition treaty with India, so even if Hasina lands there, she won't be staying there for long I think. Besides, anti-India sentiments in Bangladesh are at its peak now and Indians know that, so that might be playing a part too.

In any case, this is going to be the death of pro-india politics in Bangladesh.

Congratulation. Alhamdulillah

Yes that is true for sure that it was mainly the hard work of BD'shis.

However without the infrastructure like roads, bridges and power stations that government provides then most of the potential cannot be realised.

Some infrastructure like Roppur nuclear power station probably would never have been built without her long-standing government.

Hasina like most leaders is a loud mouth and her constant references to her father was annoying and anyway all that infrastructure that were named after her father can be renamed. What matters is that it got built and so BD now has the foundation to use this to propel the economy forward.

Like it or not, she provided that political stability for 15 years that BD had lacked previously.

In any governance and society one needs a balance. Infrastructure has to be in place and the will and determination. Investment and exports. Bangla done good in all aspects. IMO - she has pushed her iron fist and "living in the shadows of her father" too far and now suffering the consequences........

Hope BD doesn't descend into another Libya/ Iraq due to the power vacuum and/or many greedy power pockets. Can't take any more illegal ingresses.

They were doing quite well for some times, and I was, kind of, hoping that they do so well that all the illegal migrants & their descendants returns voluntarily one day.

Nice little fairytale you made up there
...keep on fantasizing

Wishing all the best to Bangladeshi civilians.
Hope peace and prosperity returns.
Pakistani people should learn a lesson from this.

Our approach would have completely transformed the civilian inside out.

If Pakistan kept united and Bengalis got their fair share of political power, we would have put Pak army mafia in line by now. They frankly have been spoiled by Pakistani people and became the monster they are now.

Your post is tarnished with abrasive and sarcasm.
For you to compare Bangladesh to a Libya and Iraq - is at the very least immature and deliberately dis-respective. There aint no lakes of oil and vaults full of gold to steal - so the US wont be in haste to introduce their "democracy.
Your last sentence - The same can be said for India - lets hope the 100,000s of Indians coming to the UK with dodgy visa and illegal migrants will find India becoming a haven of success and bed of roses.
I suggest dont throw stones when you live in glasshouses....

I have not been following this thread at all - so i am gobsmacked by what i am hearing and seeing !!!!!!!!!!

She has resigned and left. Dont be suprised if she turns up in UAE - it seems that everyone ends up there.

I do hope calm heads prevail now and that there is peace and no further life is lost.

The people of Bangladesh have made history today and i hope it gives them the future they want and need.
