Bangladesh will not play T20 World Cup games in India over safety concerns

You suddenly woke up to the realisation India is not safe after all these months. Lol! Don't deflect, it is what it is. You didn't like your player getting booted off IPL. Otherwise you would've announced this decision sooner than right after IPL auction.

So you had players up for auction in IPL cuz money is good, gets booted, "oh no security situation bad". Lol! Yeah sure. IPL is not some tiny league the security is going to be tight not because of Hindutva, hardly ever there was any attack of Hindutva on cricket players in India nice try though.

Indian and other cricket teams in India travel in a random tourist bus. In Pakistan they travel in a presidential convoy with jammers and minesweapers with full blown protection that doesn't scream safety to me.

Hilarious. Hindutva logic.

Clearly you have a problem comprehending English.

Let me break down the sequence of events for you.

1. Mustafiz bought by KKR.

2. A mob lynching happened in Bangladesh which turns out to be not religiously motivated. The murder of Dipu Das.

3. Hindutva Shiv Sena threatens both Shahrukh Khan and Mustafiz. Threatens to invade pitches during IPL. They have a history of doing it in the past during India Pakistan match.

4. BCCI caves in to the Hindutva threats and asks KkR to pull contract.

5. BCB now realizes that BCCI is unable to guarantee security for a single player, therefore likely unable to provide security for the entire team.

6. BCB makes formal request to change venue.

I cannot break it down any simpler than that. I am sure your Hindutva infested brain still won't get it and you will continue to troll to derail the thread.

And nobody deserves an explanation for release of Mustafizur. Indian fans didn't want it, we allayed our dispute with BCCI by being vocal in public forums, the BCCI acted on it. This is the chronology of events and it's rather simple.
I'm sorry what?

Are you listening to yourself?

You are acquiescing to the demands of hooligans.

Imagine if in England, instead of arresting football hooligans and using water cannon on them, we simply agreed to their demands every time they trash a stadium? We could replay any match where they disagree with the referee's decision, for example.

What are you actually on mate?

Seriously you people just need to stay away from all international sports anywhere.

And you semi-literates actually dream of playing in football world cups!

Stop changing the goal post with unrelated off topic issues to suit your argument.

How is Shakib related to India-Bangladesh geopolitics? Shakib was an internal issue. He chose to become an MP while being active in cricket. If anything Shakib mixed politics with cricket.
It actually fits the current situation perfectly. The BCB is crying about Fizz being kicked out of the IPL because of political tension between the two countries, while at the same time — under instructions from their lord advisor Asif — they didn’t allow Shakib to return to Bangladesh and play his farewell matches. Why? Simply because he was involved in politics.

Asif openly said that Shakib was discouraged from returning to Bangladesh, and he publicly instructed BCB that Shakib should no longer be selected for the national team.

They say sports should never be mixed with politics when it suits them. Such verses from BCB sounds hollow, because they themselves mixed sports and politics first.

BCCI is the regulatory body of the IPL. They have every right to ban or exclude any player from the tournament even after the auction, and franchises r required to follow their directives.

Calcutta Test 1999. Indian fans angry because of Sachin's run out.

@Vikramaditya1 feels we should hear them out - maybe they have a point.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but wasn't he contractually signed to play with the club and past clubs, for the IPL? If that's the case, then it's not so much a privilege than it is a right, as it's binding. Privilege implies an invitation.
It isn't. BCCI is the regulating and governing body in the IPL. There is a force majore clause that overrides any contractual obligations in the IPL which is geopolitical tensions. So if India have an issue with Australia, Australian players may get booted (or not). There is no contractual obligations as it is beyond BCCIs control what geopolitical tensions can bring up.

Read the sequence of events I posted above. BCB should have taken this position irrespective of Asif Nazrul's directive.

I don't have the patience to tolerate your Indian bootlicking.

India cannot provide security to control a billion strong mob.

This is BCCI and GoI's fault.

India should forfeit the affected matches.
Lol..Indian security was just fine for Bangladeshis until they were excluded from IPL.

They don’t want to come, then we don't want them here. They can join Pakistan for all we care.

Oh you got me all wrong. I'm not talking about the safety of players. Nobody in here is concerned about safety of players. The BCCI took the decision because Bangladeshi players shouldn't be allowed to play in IPL as a popular demand. Back in 2019 Indians made a boycott IPL call following pulwama which forced IPL to cancel inaugration ceremony and donated funds to players. Afterall we are the one's watching IPL if we collectively decided to not watch it, IPL loses money. The point is, the public can influence these decisions. Pitch invasion threats don't fly, the police will give good danda to such people. I can't remember a mass pitch invasion in India since 90's. BCCI has a policy of lifetime ban for pitch invaders.

Lol. If threats from Shiv Sena wasn't an issue, BCCI could have simply rejected Mustafiz's inclusion in the bid and avoid all this drama.

Why cancel after a bidding competition by 3 teams?

Simple - because no danda will be raised against Shiv Sena Hindutva retards when they are in power.

I really don’t care if Bangladesh decides not to play in India for whatever reason, that’s entirely their prerogative. Any country can refuse to play anywhere for safety, political, or logistical reasons. India had reservations about playing in Pakistan in the last major tournament and moved its matches to the UAE. Bangladesh, Pakistan, or any other country can have similar concerns — that’s their right.

What annoys me is the hypocrisy of the BCB personnel as they r blaming the BCCI for booting Fizz out of the IPL out of political pressure, when they themselves have previously done the same to shak.

Let me remind you the issue again - BCB pulling out due to security concerns given threats from Hindutva Shiv Sena and BCCIs inability (as organizer) to guarantee safety for Bangladeshi players.

If they cannot protect a single player, how are they going to protect the entire team.

Keep your grievances with BCB for a different thread. This is not relevant to the discussion in this thread.

Why r Indian spectators suddenly so angry about Fizz playing for KKR? He’s just a cricketer, too innocent to be dragged into all this nonsensical political drama.

I had to look it up shiv Sena threat lmao because it wasn't showing up. Yeah found it on Instagram, a shiv Sena Gurugram unit. My family has more members than Shiv Sena Gurugram unit. The point being, you trying to make a mountain out of molehill and it's going to backfire on you. BCCI decision is because of larger public interest, not some uncle aunty unit in Gurugram. There was an uproar when Bangladeshi players were selected the public opinion was against your country. Like I said, you have no idea how the public opinion is against you. You're trying to pin it on Hindutva without realising this.
