Bangladesh will not play T20 World Cup games in India over safety concerns

This really says it all though.

Points in ICC tournament are more important than the widows of Pahalgam's spilled sindoor.

I will remind you of Iran's approach. They gladly FORFEIT any fixture against their ideological enemy, Israel, whom they also regard as terrorists, as you regard Pakistan.

So show consistency. Don't just bang on in press conferences and decline handshakes just for show. Actually forfeit matches against Pakistan. Political actions incur a cost. India is not prepared to pay the cost and will, evidently, climb down on its supposed "principled position".

When you have no principles you cannot take a principled position. Principles only become principles once they cost you something. Indians ALWAYS forget this

Jeets got some authority in something (cricket here) and screwed it with their low IQ and pettiness

This is perfect case for why jeets should always be subdued and shouldn't be allowed to get any position of authority anywhere in anything

Pa jeets absolutely destroyed cricket

They were dipsticks right from the beginning, letting these ego driven chumps ride roughshod over the sport has ruined the game

It was such a great sport at one time and now it's dipped so much

It's hilarious you guys think it's a win but it's a major L. Lol!

It's a L for everyone

That's the point

Because you clowns can't keep your petty stupidity out of sport, their is now drama

You have a choice, either don't play with someone

Or if you play, then play in a normal non retarded sporting manner

The BCB, however, denied that the ICC had communicated such an ultimatum. "The BCB has also taken note of certain reports published in a section of the media suggesting that the Board has been issued an ultimatum in this regard," the BCB said. "The BCB categorically states that such claims are completely false, unfounded and do not reflect the nature or content of the communication received from the ICC.

Hindutva retards spread this fake news as wildfire in an attempt to big up "Jay Shah stomping down on BD" and stroke their collective ego.

Bangladesh should forfeit the world cup if the venue doesn't change.

Bangladesh cricket will be in serious trouble if it tries to confront the BCCI in this manner.

Any league has the right to ban a player if it believes that the player’s presence will not be well-received by spectators and could negatively impact viewership. It’s their league and their money—so ultimately, it’s their decision.

In-fact, on multiple occasion BCB itself didn't allow Bangladeshi Players like Taskin, Fizz and few others to take part in different international leagues including IPL and refused to provide NOC mandatory to take part in those leagues.

It's always up to the individual board. BCB believed it was in country's best interest not to grant permission to certain players to participate in overseas leagues, just as the BCCI decided it was better to organize IPL without FIZZ. At the end of the day, it all comes down to money and commercial success.

However, the way the Bangladesh Cricket Board is making a mountain out of a mole hill and reacting to this decision could easily end up digging its own grave.

It’s also important to remember that there will be occasions when Bangladesh is scheduled to host international tournaments on its own. If India refuses to play in such events, there’s a very high chance the tournament will be shifted elsewhere. The BCCI generates more revenue for the ICC than all other boards combined, and the ICC is unlikely to organize a major tournament without India’s participation.

Grow a backbone. But I understand that is way too much to ask.

If BCCI can't provide safety to one player, how are they going to provide security to the entire team?

BCB stance is completely justified.

If BCCI didn't want Bangladeshi participation to not hurt public sentiment, why allow him in the auction in first place. India Bangladesh relationship has been strained since last year. It is not a sudden and new development.

Fact is - Shiv Sena threatened to invade pitch and BCCI shat their pants. They can't go against BJP support base so chose to kick out Mustafiz and start this issue. Any self respecting Bangladeshi will choose to not participate in the world cup under current circumstances.

Bangladesh is being forced to stand up for itself

And in such circumstances, backing off is not a option even if their is a cost involved

India has more lynchings, attacks on religious buildings, riots and mobs in a week then Bangladesh has in a year, yet they are targeting Bangladesh

It's ridiculous

The situation is clear beyond doubt now.

Bangladesh will play it's matches in India, or it won’t play at all.

Claims about the ICC collaborating with the BCB on security concerns are pure window dressing—no more credible than the concerns themselves.

Bangladesh definitely has the right to ask for its matches to be held in Sri Lanka instead of India if it believes its players are not safe.

However, u need to remember that at some point in the tournament Bangladesh may have to play against India. If the BCB decides to play that match in India, it would make the country look ridiculous.

But, if the BCB is truly delusional enough to believe it can pressure the ICC into forcing India to play Bangladesh in Sri Lanka, then it is living in a fool’s paradise.

In the end, it will be Bangladesh that loses, simply because its board acted emotionally instead of rationally. As I’ve already said, the ICC will bend over backwards to accommodate the BCCI, just as they did in the last ICC Champions Trophy.

In terms of cricketing pedigree, Bangladesh is nowhere near Pakistan — and even Pakistan was forced to move its home matches to the UAE to play against India. The same thing happened with the final, which was shifted out of Pakistan because of BCCI’s stance.

The BCB will eventually do the same and be forced to play in India anyway. But by creating all this noise, they have put themselves in a situation where the only face saving option left might be to withdraw from the tournament altogether, or be ridiculed on social media if it decides to play in India.

Who would be the real loser? Do u think the cricket world would care if Bangladesh didn’t participate? Do you think this would hurt the BCCI in any way? Not really. The ultimate sufferers would be the Bangladesh players, the BCB, and the cricket fans of Bangladesh.
