This aircraft cant have more than 7-800 kgs of useful load which would include fuel and pilot/s .What artillery or payload can you fit in 3-400 kgs? I fail to understand.

Recon is much easier to carry out using drones.

It's a good training aircraft and training aircraft only, it serves no other purpose.

Everything is imported. Should have built a fighter jet instead with Chinese help.

Nope. Knowing how to design an airframe, validating that airframe and successfully integrating all those components is the first step to developing an industry.

Pakistan has failed to do that on an aeroplane, though it has had alot of success in drones of ever increasing size and complexity...

The second, is selectively and intelligently making substitutions where that development can be part of the strategic equation to move towards the required end state of a jet fighter. Does it make sense to develop a local prop engine, or develop new core avionics and replace what you originally sued, with the home grown variant ?

Is the next logical step to develop a primary trainer(being jet, or turboprop) that has a stable aerodynamic configuration using the avionics core developed for this plane and looking to develop the flight laws for a stable design ? It should be progressive, iterative and increase in scope.

Given the move to UAVs and Drones - is that not where Bangladesh can best move to meet its military needs and grow its industry ?

You can of course attempt to go in a backwards fashion like Pakistan ( Azm->PFX etc.. ) but as i am sure sure you will agree - not following Pakistan has been key to Bangladesh's success to date !

congratulations Bangladesh.

They should progress slowly at the cost of manufacturing locally as much as possible. Bangladesh has no real enemies so they should priorities local industry than finding a quick solution by importing parts from elsewhere.

There is a difference between license producing and original production based on imported parts.

Pakistan has never been able to produce an indigenous aircraft. BD has made a major jump. I think BD should stop wasting it's resources on fighter jets and concentrate on the space race. Try to align with both India and China to launch it's own satellites.
Maybe Bangladesh should follow the Indian example, who knows after some 30 odd years, it may also end up with something like not so Indigenious Tejas.

Bangladesh has a much higher level of education compared to Pak. I don't think it's a fair comparison to compare with India, but to compare BD to Pak is insulting.
Big talk from someone who is crawling on a Pakistani forum to have a voice and is here to learn.

After independence from Pakistan it looks like they didn't invest much on military industrial complex and its related education.

Learn to crawl before attempting to run!

Bangladesh is not under existential threat from anyone hence can take its time to learn the underlying technology.

In a decade or so, BD can join a consortium that includes Indonesia, Turkey and Pakistan.

technically he has a point. Both education and technology and economy they're ahead of you. So they can try to compare with India not you.
Yea, Indians also claim their competition is with China, Korea, Japan, Brazil etc. But Indians benchmark is always Pakistan.
And had they compared with India, they would have been dragging their first aircraft on a trailer.

Where are Bangladeshi defence enthusiasts with Wikipedia access .

Someone should make a wiki page for BBT iterations and specifications.

I mean cool, they took 13 years to get this plane flying even though they promised in 10 years… but my question is why not incorporate carbon composites in the structure instead of wood? Their development video shows an enclave and they’re working with resin and carbon fiber but didn’t see any parts made of them and assembled in the aircraft.
