There have been no serious education reforms and this is the desire of their chachay. Having an uneducated population is what they thought would be the best way to control everything. People would rather send their kids to work rather than supporting them to go to school. So much potential wasted. There could easily be an 'Einstein' in Pakistan or India- but instead they're forced into a lifestyle such as getting high with truck drivers and chilling at dhabas selling their gaands for a place to sleep.

The damage will take decades to fix.

Apart from lack of education having cut Pakistan’s pool of above average smart people I would add two other reasons.

1. Karachi had the most concentration of educated people after independence. Ayub Khan moved the capital next to GHQ in Pindi, and Bhutto banned people from Karachi from all federal and provincial jobs. For almost 50 years now people from Karachi are excluded from government jobs.

2. Political parties distributed jobs to their party members. All govt. departments are stuffed to the roof with jahil, uneducated retards. Nepotism is a feature of Pakistani society in all fields.

That’s why the country is a failure in almost every field of human endeavor, be it education, health, sports, business, science, city planning, etc. PIA is a classic example. From being one of the best airlines in the world it has been reduced to collapse, flying 16 planes. In contrast, Emirates flys around 270 planes and is expanding.

Anyone running Pakistan should realize the hole the country is in and try to fix things on an emergency basis.

Karachi has to be made a separate provincial city / federally administrative city, just like Beijing, Shanghai, Guangzhou in China, independent of any interference from an province .

They have every right to be, at least they are feeding you. They are still the biggest earners for the country despite sitting abroad. 10 million overseas earn more for Pakistan than the 250 MN haramkhors sitting at home. Without overseas remittances you lot will literally starve to death.

One of my brothers is a high school teacher, teaching science and health studies, coupled with being the high school athletic director as he wrestled in high school and went full-ride to college on a wrestling scholarship. His next goal is to reach the school's principal position; the minimum requirement to qualify for applying is a masters in a teaching discipline. You read that right: a master's to be a principal, to even be considered, and you have a BA as a state minister of education.
