Isn't that how the East India Company started ?What are we waiting for? We should hand over all of Balochistan to them on a 99 year lease while we're at it, so they can fix it

Silk road is for nostalgia. Modern day commerce takes place on large container ships (for low value items), transport aircraft (for high value items) and on fiber optic cables (for highest value items - pure knowledge). Pining for Silk Road is like dreaming of horse drawn stagecoaches and camel caravans.Economic financial turmoil is increasing every moment and everyone wants to have the best chunk. Chinese believe in along the borders and old concept but still valuable , a silk road ...View attachment 66435
There are enough people that want to earn a buck and aren’t being provided alternative nor being legally pursued viciously by the state, because of its own shenanigans.Oh ok, so there are large sets ppl in Pakistan who are happy to get sponsored and hate the Chinese enough to cause trouble
That’s the key. This offer of a joint force is a slap in the face of the PA.Yep they have little confidence in the military to protect assets. Said it a while ago.
Need for accurate sourcesThis is interesting development. A doors are opening for full security and defense cooperation. In future seems Pak-China trade will be in Yuan currency. A reason the idea is float due to constant Chinese crew casualties from foreign agents and Pak security forces are failed to provide protection. Remember there is outstanding debt and interest payment of 27 billion dollars is due this year and its getting inflated.
On the possible direction of co-operation between China and Pakistan on CPEC security issues:That’s the key. This offer of a joint force is a slap in the face of the PA.
For the sake of restoring the honor of the PA, besides the political mess they have to deal with properly, they should refuse this offer.
If Pakistan agrees, foreign forces will ramp up the funding to bog down the Chinese. Also Chinese troops would be killing Pakistani people. The blowback to the legitimacy of the state would be so severe, I’d rather not think of it.
The Chinese would be better off, equipping Pakistani troops with a supply of MRAPS and affordable transport helicopters to ferry Chinese workers and helping Pakistani build up enough of a local economy in restive areas to pacify the public in those areas especially. Call it a special grant, but don’t allow Chinese troops to operate on Pakistanis soil.
Once the Pakistani economy and optics are up and running, the states resources can take over providing services.
In the mean time, Chinese technical assistance can be provided to hunt down miscreants, such as Chinese SAR satellite data or drone data. SAR satellites can provide GMTI, and track movement of miscreants elements. Pakistani police and soldiers can then investigate and find out if the suspects are miscreants or regular civilians and act accordingly.
As for the navy base in Gwadar. It Should mirror the agreements made between India and the US.
