We are talking about milions of artillery, hundreds of thousands of missiles, Russia can't even destroy Ukriane with so much pounding, you expect a puny island with neae zero military industrial base to destroy East China. Sure, it is possible that China can make the Taiwan War a yrs long affair. So what will the Chinese economy look like? What will global economy look like since no one will be sailing thru the South China Sea, and certainly not thru the Taiwan Strait?

Try to block the Malacca strait This people forget that the Indian Ocean is only 750 miles from Yunnan China can easily fire ASBM DF21 at any ship in the Andaman Sea or their base. Not to mention that China can roll over Ladakh or Arunachal Pradesh just like they did in 1962

Well in 1962 they can. China broke the back of Indian army and all roads were open to Delhi. My Indian friend told me they were expecting to see a Chinese victory parade in New Delhi. Some people already evacuated and trekked south. But to his surprise, China withdrew unilaterally.

He told me he was thankful for that. China withdrew because the border war is silly It should never happened if not for Nehru forward policy of nibbling at Chinese territory. China does not consider India an enemy and is willing to give face to India to smooth relations. Plus China was dirt poor back then maintaining occupations was costly when the priority was to rebuild China economically

The limited U.S. - China war fought over Taiwan has two impacts. First, it will result in great amount of damage to Chinese coastal defences which is the source of Chinese invasion. This because Chinese navy is totally inexperienced and their naval military hardware is of poor quality. Second, there will be jeopardy of $600 billion in exports of Chinese manufactured goods to US, Europe and Japan. That damage has a great amount of impact on China and its future.

Chinese will always threaten but will never fight. If they do they will jeopardize their future.
