China preparing for 'protracted' war, says think tank

There are only 3 countries that have more than 50% possibility of actually going to war for the sake if defending Taiwan.

The U.S.
Japan
Australia

With Singapore and The Philippines as their backup logistics center.

Indonesia will likely only cooperate in intelligence sharing and monitoring of Chinese activities near its waters, but very slim chance of actually fighting for Taiwan, unless of course, China attacks first.

And you Indians, Pakistanis and Bangladeshis didn't/don't fight yourselves own ? You people blow up yourselves every day now.

We're all different.

My ethnicity doesn't kill their own. They kill others when there's a need. :ROFLMAO:

That scenario where China manages to unite all Indo-Pacific countries into open warfare with China sounds like a dream come true, and I wish it to come true. But what if they don't?

What if instead of open warfare against all in one go, they pick the ASEAN countries one by one? There's no guarantee that Indonesia would fight China on Taiwan's behalf, the closest countries that will likely go to war with the U.S are Singapore and the Philippines, but even then there's doubt about their willingness. Most likely their contribution will be logistics and refueling station for U.S. Navy ships
We are talking about full scale war..... but even if you try to pick up 1 by 1 then also you are further adding a hostile neighbors and further trouble to your shipping lines and don't forget here also anti china elements can help these countries with weapons and intel which will eventually weaken china itself for choosing a fight 1 by 1..... learn something from Russia mistake.....

Make friends and not enemies don't forget you are a landlocked country.....

China will attack first, like Russia. And everyone else in the region and beyond, will move against them, in whatever way possible. Especially everyone around China.

List: S. Korea, Japan, Vietnam, Indo-Malays, Australia, New Zealand.

Others: India, France (lots of islands in the Pacific), UK (same as France but bigger role) and more.

China won't first attack ASEAN countries, what are those countries want to get involved in war with Chinese internal affairs, South Asian or Indian logic, lol ?

Indonesia (and all of Asia Pacific actually) has a vested interest that China is decisively beaten.

My post is not to debate if China will have anyone as allies (with the exception of NorKo)in Pacific War 2.0, but how willing are the Asia-Pacific countries to go to war for land like Taiwan.

I personally would avoid my country being the target of missile attacks, just for the Taiwanese to maintain their independence.
I don't see any incentive for Jakarta to declare war on China, nor do I see China is stupid enough to declare and exercise war with the entirety of Asia-Pacific and spread its military thin.

I could be wrong, and China could indeed go full Banzai and charge all of Asia, potentially uniting Asia's military potential under the command of U.S. forces against them. But my feeling simply said that they're not that stupid.

Lol. Why you think that NATO dare not to fight the Russians in Ukraine ? Why you think the Arabs won't even fight little Israel for their brothers Palestinians ? I don't think ASEAN countries are that stupid that they want to go to war with China over Chinese internal matter of Taiwan unless Indonesia is exceptional in that way. Don't give yourselves ASEAN countries too much brag the way. You don't represent Asia Pacific countries and can't speak for them.

The same reason why China has yet to land and set its administration in Taiwan,

Lol, I know exactly what you are saying and what you are implying that the whole Asia Pacific is with US against China. Stop pretending your language skills and BS nonsense. You don't represent Asia Pacific countries.

Again another comprehension problem. LOL

At this point, all of Asia Pacific (minus NorKo) has a vested interest in a China defeat, but it stops there. We do not know how willing is these countries to actually sweat to make sure China loses.

Like I said, in a war for Taiwan, there are likely only 3 countries that have 50% or more chance to fight and die for Taiwan.

Next time, fookin read before you type

Side note : I previously mentioned NorKo as your only ally in Asia Pacific, there's another contender, Cambodia, and another one, not as an ally, but merely neutral, which is Thailand.

But if you look at the rest: Indonesia, Singapore, Malaysia, Philippines, Viet Nam, Australia, NZ. They're eyeing you, one way or another, with differing levels of threat perception wrt China. Some could be as alarmist as Australia, some simply stay cautious like Indonesia, and some are a bit easy on the issue like NZ.

But all of them have some vested interest that China fails in its attempt to be militarily dominant outside the first Island chain.

Lol. Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand, Borneo, and now Vietnam are officially neutral between China and US. Cambodia, Myanmar, Laos and East Timor are pro-China. Australia is a US lapdog and will always side with US. NZ might be able to stay neutral but is leaning towards US. Philippine is almost an US colony. I don't know about Indonesia, it might have some apprehension about the military and economic growth of China. So ? These countries just have to live with a China growing stronger in the region, China like any other country has the right to develop and grow, China will not attack these countries first.

From Philippines to Malaysia Indonesia Vietnam everyone has seen Chinese bully in SCS and with all of them China has maritime boundaries disputes......

They see China as a future threat and everyone will be happy to see they remain chocked and landlocked always behind 1st island chain.....

We don't know if they will openly enter war but there are many ways to trouble China further like denying them sea access or harrase their ships without entering full war if they are successful in breaking 3rd island chain by overwhelming USA and allies fortification which is highly unlikely and even if they are successful half of their navy will be destroyed and remaining will not be able to challenge new naval fleets like India, Indonesia, Philippines, Malaysia, Vietnam USN IOR fleets further......

China knows her vulnerability and hence billions are being poured into CPEC, OBOR......
