Xi Jinping pulled off something no one thought was possible. Did you notice how the Iran oil shock that was supposed to end the world just never happened? Turns out it's because China single-handedly stopped it from hitting – pulled off a set of moves no one thought were possible – changed the history of oil overnight – and did it all in secret. Here’s how they pulled it off.
This video would not have been possible without reporting by Bloomberg, Reuters, the Associated Press, South China Morning Post, the Wall Street Journal, the Atlantic Council, Heatmap, and others.

Pravin Swahney will be out of his chair as he frequently talks about collective development rather than collective security.

China did it just like in 2008, but it has to be said that these moves are intended to be self serving. Why shouldn't they be after all.

China focuses on the long term goal. A relatively stable global environment allows it to keep doing the winning. If that equation ever falls out of balance and out of its favour, it will re-engage with an adjusted strategy. For now, the goal is to continue making money with the same global system and the goal of this is to continue developing its technology base, infrastructure and industries. The end goal is to dominate every industry and be at the bleeding edge of every piece of technology known to man.

To achieve this, it cannot disturb the business as usual model. It will save the US and global market to whatever extent it can up to the day the price to pay exceeds the net benefit of exporting, having customers, making money, reinvesting in itself as effectively as it can realistically manage.

If that ever gets disrupted to a degree where the trajectory reverses, you'll see a much more "active" and belligerent China, willing to go into conflicts. For now, it prefers this growth and development model that's been serving it very well.

DW has a similar take on this too.

The 2008 Asian Financial Crisis was another case of Western countries sucking wealth from poor 3rd world countries to enrich the already wealthy western countries.

DW editors were sitting on ice slabs while making this video.

Beside China, US oil and gas production is also in surge so they dont import anymore but even exporting in large quantity while African countries like Nigeria also can meet the demand. Nigeria is now part of biggest oil suppliers to Indonesia.

And now Venezuela oil will also hit the global market....

China ramped down its oil purchases, to stabilise the markets which is in its interests. It provide discrete military assistance to Iran ie Beidou access for precision strikes(plus anything else of interest on those trains direct from China to Iran!), which is in its interests... China has allowed the Americans to defeat themselves for all the world to see, and for them to see how the USA treats its "allies" in war(not well it seems).... and now China has started to buy oil on the open market, creating upward pressure on oil prices to force pressure on trump to finish this war, which is in its interests....
