DSI operates optimally at Mach 2. If you go beyond that, the engine power will drop dramatically.Good point. DSI does not prevent a plane going faster than Mach 2. There's nothing special about Mach 2. It's just a number. DSI is not magic that mysteriously stops a plane going faster than Mach 2.
