Has China started cracking down on enthusiast photo releases? Weren’t they allowed after having the images made more blurry? Shouldn’t flights just be redirected away from being over the shipyard or a portal where enthusiasts can submit their photos for clearance?

Maybe the image posted yesterday was too blurry but here it is clearly visible, also all the red and yellow deck markings are applied on the PLANS-18 "Fujian".
I would say, deck is complete and the ship is ready for the party!?

And my gut feeling tells me that it is not entirely unlikely that this will take place next Tuesday, April 23rd, on the 75th anniversary of the founding of the PLAN.

Apparently and I guess unsurprisingly, exhaust smokes from the Fujian was identified in late 2022 during the ship's trial of power generation systems. That was when the big shore-based steam generator was mated to the ship's powertrain. The steam generators have been packed up long ago, and this time we are nearly ready to go (hopefully, maybe...)!
