By now it is more or less confirmed that the LHD that they are building is indeed type 76. A large 50000 Ton LHD with Catobar mainly to launch UCAV navalized GJ 11 with edge elevator. It will be handy to invade Philippines and take out the nasty harpoon or tomahawk Cruise missile

The PLA Navy's upcoming Type 076 landing helicopter dock is under construction. We show that this is the Type 076 and discuss the progress to date.

Type 76 LHD unlike any other LHD is a huge monster at 50000 tons dwarfing America class
The Type 076 LHD landing helicopter dock is the successor to the Type 075 amphibious warship for the Chinese Navy. We explain how the 076 will be different to all carriers and flat-top warships in service, owing to the use of electromagnetic catapults, UAVs and UCAVs

Combine with HALE potent combination

Now it just needs to see if it will have an angled deck for simultaneous launch and recovery, two elevators and two launch positions. It already looks set to have two islands.

Even if it’s only meant to launch UAV/UCAVs (in PLAN Service) it will be a formidable platform.

A modest design like the USS FDR after its midlife refit. Just enough space for UAVs to land and not effect flight ops.

But more modern:

The WZ-7 also looks like an interesting platform, and possibly worth the PN acquiring.

It allows China to deep strike the tiny Pacific Islands in deep darkness of night
Should it find illegal activities taking place there

But luckily most islands are uninhabited

Darkness of night , Chinese LHD moves a move , undetected by any one , stealth of night , launches 30 drones.

At Morning dawn , just craters in Island filled with water from sea
No need for fighter jets to launch , from Land base airport , or refuel in air
The LHD takes the drones close to Islands in darkness of night

However it is pure speculation , we don't know how China intends to use these machines?

These could also be used at Sea to target pirates

Ok guy s... if you want to discuss politics, make penis-contests on India vs. China on who has the longest and even more off topic BS, then you are in the wrong section!

I deleted almost all unrelated post and will do so if this fuss goes on!

Take this as a warning

Due to several redundant individual threads I merged them here ...

Interesting comparison of both the Type 075‘s and 076‘s bow section (even if not to scale)

I've seen this comparison chart before. Compared with the satellite aerial image, 076 is much larger than 075.

Some Chinese military fans guessed that 076 might be two ship islands based on the components stacked next to it
