What PAF needs most right now is an AEW&C system similar to the KJ-500A. It possesses native CEC capabilities with Chinese fighter jets and weapon systems. This would directly elevate PAF's overall combat capability to a new level.

Broadly speaking,

Pakistan already has an AEW&C that has a similar detection range to that of KJ-500A plus minus 100 km [ Minor / specific details aside ].

Pakistan is looking for an aircraft with a detection range of about 1000 km.

Does China have a similar AEW&C available in this category ?

KJ 3000 in development has a detection range of up to 1000 km, but, I don't think it will be exported any time soon. I don't know if you can compare Saab 2000 to KJ-500A, the tech employed is different ?

It might come this year, It should be in full production now right? I heard they are planning a pretty large production number for this year, perhaps they divert some to exports.

Again for the xth time: Yes, it is in full production - but AFAIK only the Naval variant - and I‘m pretty sure all from the first batches will be for the PLA.

IMO they won‘t divert any just for the sake of PR to Pakistan.

And the new facility is indeed Ready, but again AFAIK not yet „online“ but @Michael surely knows more.

So conclusion again: I‘m almost 100% sure, they won’t come this year and anything before 2028 would be a mayor surprise.
