There is sth cslled close ground Air support. The country which does not use A-10 ground Attack aircraft for air support for the soldiers, Fill thier requirements by These air crafts. And also there are many target like Drones Helicopters Tanks Radars military movements which can be targeted by a cannon

Any F-22, F-35, J-20 and J-35 pilot that gets in gun range against an enemy fighter is going to get their wings clipped by senior officer. The 1982 Bekaa Valley air war where they used BVR missiles that were semi active and pretty much sucked, there were only two gun kills, and those were against helicopters. Sorry link doesn't exist anymore or can't find it but it existed years ago in PDF.
Every air war since no guns were used to shoot down another fighter... speaking for western fighters. Only reason the F-35A has a gun it's because of pressure from USAF old timers and export customers. F-22 has a gun because it was designed during cold war.

A Chinese government-backed newspaper is announcing that now, with the arrival of the J-35, China is the second country to have “two” 5th-generation aircraft and, perhaps of greatest concern to the Pentagon, the People’s Republic of China (PRC) plans to “mass produce” its new J-35. Well known for its massive military production capacity, enabled to a large degree by its civil-military fusion, the People’s Liberation Army (PLA) may indeed be well positioned to fast-track large quantities of the J-35. China has been building J-20s at a fast pace and has hit staggering and unprecedented production capacity building warships, in part by opening additional shipyards throughout the country.
China’s Global Times newspaper says the PRC can quickly “mass” produce its J-35.
“The heavy J-20 and the medium-sized J-35A could perform complementary roles in joint missions…..the medium-sized J-35A is likely to be less costly than the heavy J-20, so it can be produced in large numbers in a short period of time,” the Global Times states.
Should China truly have the ability to mass produce J-35s quickly, that would likely be something of concern to the Pentagon. At the moment, the US and its allies enjoy a significant air-power advantage over China in the Pacific, given that US Navy amphibious can travel with up to 20 F-35Bs, US Navy carriers can travel with up to 90 F-35Cs, and Japan is fast adding F-35s through its own multi-billion F-35 buy. However, should China be able to close this substantial 5th-generation fighter “numbers gap” with the West, US and Allied air superiority in the Pacific could very much be threatened.
The US Air Force, for instance, already operates more than 300 F-35A, and the Navy and Marine Corps, respectively, have sizeable operational F-35 fleets as well. China is already experienced with mass producing its J-20 and has made many adjustments to the aircraft itself, such as adding a domestically-build WS-15 engine. For years now, the PLA has been working to surge production of its J-20, so it seems conceivable that Chinese engineers have the experience and expertise to do something similar or greater for the J-35.

That was because those old timers lived in the past. 10 or 20 years ago BVRM was not very reliable, understandably, they want guns. But fast forward now with double or triple sensor, data link, IIR, the faster computer on the chip, Helmet-mounted sight, AI, SARH, Satellite guided, dual motor missile, 20 G missile etc BVRM is deadly, and kill probability is high

China’s newly announced J-35A stealth fighter jet could enhance the country’s integrated combat capabilities, further supporting national development and people's prosperity, Wang Yongqing, chief expert at Shenyang Aircraft Design Institute under the state-owned Aviation Industry Corporation of China (AVIC), the developer of the J-35A, told the Global Times in Zhuhai, South China’s Guangdong Province, as the Airshow China 2024 is scheduled to kick off on Tuesday.
Regarding the J-35A's capabilities, Wang said that the key features include enhanced stealth, informatization, network integration, and intelligence capabilities. Since the users have set higher requirements for stealth, the aircraft developer has implemented many new technological measures and systems. In the process, notable progress and innovations have been realized across multiple areas.
The J-35A is designed to adapt to advancements in technology, shifts in warfare, and evolving threats. Driven by the transformation of air combat mechanisms and the advancement of new technologies, it prioritizes information warfare, collaborative operations, and multi-domain combat. As a tactical organizer on the regional battlefield, it optimizes and extends the value of existing assets, playing a crucial role as a key node in future systems, Wang said.
When asked about the technical aspects of the J-35A and how it can collaborate with other aircraft, Wang said that the J-35A functions within both stealth and counter-stealth combat frameworks. Its mission focuses on gaining and maintaining air superiority, eliminate hostile fourth/fifth generation fighter jets and ground/surface air defense forces, as well as intercept aerial hostile targets including fighters, bombers and cruise missiles.
In combat against previous generations of aircraft, the J-35A can operate beyond enemy detection, achieving a unilateral battlefield awareness and possessing overwhelming advantages that disrupt traditional air combat patterns. In engagements with aircraft of the same generation, it can leverage its strong lethality and survivability, along with advanced coordinated formation tactics, to obtain accurate situational information and establish a rapid and stable closed-loop kill chain against the enemy, thereby seizing the initiative, according to Wang.
Wang said that the J-35A can also organize other elements and form a killing network on the battlefield. Comparing the systematic combat system with a net, he noted that the aircraft is a key node in the net, making the net stronger.
At the AVIC exhibition hall at the Airshow China 2024, both the J-35 carrier-based fighter and the J-35A were displayed.
Wang said that the J-35 series utilizes a “one platform, multiple types” and “air-sea dual deployment” development approach. The general design, airborne system design and key technologies were highly reused, so the maturity of key technologies and reliability the weapons were greatly increased, while significantly reducing development and production costs. This will contribute to the mass production of China’s aerial national defense forces and boost combat capabilities.
The “one aircraft, multiple types” means that the J-35 and the J-35A’s roles and missions are not completely the same, and the development focuses were not completely the same. But since they share the same platform, the concepts “one aircraft, multiple types” and “air-sea twin-borne” are conducive to cross-service joint operations, according to Wang.

This highly closely knit integration combat system is something that some other air force which depends on buying from foreign weapons of various origin can never achieve.
