Dasu Hydropower Project (DHP), .... 4,320 MW

The Neelum-Jhelum Hydropower plant seems to have run into some problems. I don't see any technical details of what the issues are. Does anyone know what happened? This seems to be a repeat of earlier problems.

Dasu Hydropower Project, Energy China inaugurated Skills Training Center and Safety School.

China Energy Engineering Corporation (Energy China), Pakistan on Tuesday, September 10, inaugurated a joint training center at the Dasu Hydropower Project, which includes a state-of-the-art safety training school.

According to Energy China Pakistan, the center is an important step towards localizing the project and upskilling local employees.

4320 MW-Dasu Hydropower Project:

Construction activities on 15 key work fronts are progressing ahead uninterruptedly and at a good pace.

After construction of upstream Starter Dam up to 798 feet, the Diversion System successfully passed the recent floods through the two Diversion Tunnels and a Bypass Tunnel.

Electricity generation from the Stage-1 is likely to commence in 2026.

Amazing! Completing a hydro project in just 3-4 years. In India it would take 10 years at minimum. Maximum, dont ask.

Mercifully you don't have Medha Patkar type characters in your country and your netas and Fauji rulers are not beholden to public opinion.

Excavation at Main Dam’s foundation continues, as WAPDA is making all out efforts to start electricity generation from the Project in 2027.

With installed power generation capacity of 4320 MW, Dasu Project is planned to be completed in two Stages.

At present, Stage-I of 2160 MW is under construction.
