Deals for 26 Rafale-M jets, three Scorpene submarines to be signed by next month: Navy Chief

The above is extract from my chat gpt stimulation
This is vital because this marine Rafale deal will give India an even bigger edge

Try to understand why country alike USA inducting latest version of F15 version and that's also 4th gen fighter..

The best answer is within your control areas as india needed to defend against Chinese fighters, regardless they flying 5th and 6th, 4 generation will be good to defence against them

Yeah but they already have the F35 and F22

You dont

The Rafale will serve as the tip of the spear until the Amca arrives 2035-2040
Mirage 2000 was this for your over three decades kargil and balakot etc
Now it will be this beast

J-10C vs Rafale – Face-to-Face Performance

---

Combat Outcome Estimation

In BVR:

Rafale wins ~70–80% of direct engagements, thanks to Meteor’s greater no-escape zone, SPECTRA jamming, and better fusion of radar + IRST.

J-10C’s PL-15 is longer-ranged, but without equivalent ECM or sensor fusion, it’s easier for Rafale to spoof or notch.

SPECTRA likely jams or blinds KLJ-7A’s lock range in real-world scenarios.

In WVR:

Very close match. Both are canard-delta, high-alpha fighters.

Rafale has slightly better off-boresight capability with MICA-IR and HMDS support.

Rafale still edges out due to higher thrust-to-weight and more refined handling.
Not to further derail this thread, but what is all this based on? What magic does SPECTRA have that you think other integrated ECM suites on most fighters these days don’t have? Do you think phased array emitters aren’t also there on Block III or J-10C? Do you think these aircraft don’t have as much sensor fusion, based on what?

And please, if you might, also explain how this DFRM plus limited ERP phased array emitters in SPECTRA are going to handle the AESAs on the other side? Be it LPI characteristics on the KLJ-7A, J-10C, or even the phased array in the PL-15? As I understand it, basic reality mightn’t allow SPECTRA to do any trickery against modern AESA. The latter will have PF agility, beam hopping and subdivisions, massive pulse densities per second, true LPI characteristics, and unless you can tell me the ERP of SPECTRA is enough to overwhelm against the aforementioned fighters, I don’t see how you reach such conclusions, thanks.

I did say chat GPT not my conclusion ...so you can stop that for starters
Secondly you claim how is it relevant
Is this not the Rafale Marine thread can we not speculate the force multiple effects of world class high-end enormously desired fighter like the Rafale
Or is this not allowed
Like I said it was chat gpt ...blame them

Yes, every modern air force is going for 5th Gen but IAF knows something we all do not. Grow up man, you are becoming a joke on here

I’ve consistently said that the IAF should consider acquiring the Su-57, customized like the Su-30MKI with Indian and Western systems. A fleet of 36 to 48 aircraft would be sufficient as a stopgap until the AMCA is ready.

What I’ve opposed is the blind hype around stealth jets, without understanding real-world conditions. Even U.S. stealth aircraft have been hit or tracked by older Soviet-era missile systems. The same risks apply to Chinese stealth jets.

Have Chinese stealth aircraft ever been tested in actual combat? Against which country? With what level of air defense systems? That’s why U.S. stealth tech is rated higher—it has been tested, refined, and proven over decades in real war scenarios.

That’s exactly why I said: in contested or enemy-controlled airspace, it’s not a walk in the park. Most experienced pilots would still prefer a well-equipped 4.5 or 4++ gen fighter in those conditions—especially if the battlefield is within their own control zone.

I would worry about your second generation mirages F7PG and early vintage third generation F16 fighters first .
You have half your air force still using these.
How many for fifth generation fighters can you afford on even if chinease equipment is cheap as chips

ChatGPT didn’t post it here, you did. And as for the relevance, you posted the comparison here, and we’re discussing Rafale’s spectra suite. There are claims I quoted in bold from your post which I disputed.

Why not run all that thought GPT again and give me an answer. You can DM me your response and educate me on this in case you’d rather not use this thread. Thanks.

Too much in past or too small of products.
9 AEW only last few recently delivered, 8 Ships all in process of being delivered if too fewa and"too much in the past". Even overlooking the bad grammar, your argument holds no water now that you have been proven wrong....

In every US and NATO exercise 4th gen gets completely nailed by 5th gen. Every single time and that includes NATO exercises where Rafale goes up against F-35.

One or two junk patrol boats do not matter. Induct a german or french design submarine and then we can talk.
