Plus even at its peak USSR's industrial output was only a fraction of US'. Whereas it's the inverse vis a vis China, which accounts for 27% of global output which will grow to 44% by 2030 according to UN estimates.

It’s definitely a wake -up call!
 
On last check Nvidia stock tanked nearly 17%, big 7 tech firms over $1trn in tanking, in a way shows how bloated the value of these companies are.

We need to put things in perspective. What deepseek has done is shown that a non US company without having to invest a kings randsom can develop LLM's which match or beat the best the US companies can offer. By giving their model away for free they will make these US tech firms lose allot of money.

However, the US still holds the trump card, they have the advance micro chips. Having the models is one thing but to train them and help them become very intelligent requires allot of compute power. Thats why chatgbt for e.g will give much more detailed and more broader responses as its had allot more time and computer power to train.

Once China bridges the semiconductor gap, something I believe it will, the US will no longer have hold on any significant hightech industry, until it discovers or creates something new.

DeepSeek have shown as a farce Western capitalism free competence.

USA tech companies defacto act like public state owned companies, with no REAL competence.

It was needed 6 millions dollar invested independently in China to show as a lie the power consumption numbers of AI companies in USA with billions invested in lies.

Honestly, the rate of technological advancement by China is staggering.

They undercut every copilot solution out there by making Deepseek open source and broke their own fusion record.Meanwhile the US is focused on deporting illegal immigrants lol

The best minds in US go to hedge funds/private equity and wall street to figure out how to make money out of thin air...The US STEM jobs are then staffed by dime a dozen cyber coolies from shining India who made their bones by rote learning, copying and getting caste system DEI hiring benefits...
