Egyptian Air Defense

The new Egyptian detection radar EMBR-16A, which is a meter wave radar developed and produced at the Banha Electronics Factory of the Ministry of Military Production, has a range of 350 km and a maximum detection height of 20 km.

The ESSR.21A radar, developed to operate as a secondary surveillance radar (SSR) integrated with domestic IFF system. It has a maximum range of 450 km and minimum range of 11 km, as its capable of tracking up to 1,000 targets at the same time with a range accuracy of 30 meters.

Bukovel AD anti-drone electronic warfare system (C-UAS)

The AD system is known for its ability to early detect UAVs. The system also blocks data and GPS/GLONASS control channels at an effective range of 20 to 30 km.

Egypt has developed indigenously integral counter-drones system composed of GPS signals jamming devices, man-portable anti-drone system kit, tactical acquisition radar and high-power directed-energy weapon system (DEW) which is still in the initial development phase.

Another locally manufactured C-UAV Softkill System, the DJ-400 Anti-drone Jammer, developed to jam on mini- and micro-UAVs in urban and rural environments from up to 4 kilometers away, by blocking signals related to the remote control of the drone, data transfers and GNSS

A third type of locally manufactured C-UAV Softkill system, AD.21 anti-drone Jammer, developed to neutralize mini and micro- UAVs within an effective range between 3 to 4km The jamming device provides Omni directional jamming capability against drone swarm attacks.

Egypt also developed a series of radars capble of detecing and tracking different aerial targets, including P-01 radar for detection of mini-UAVs & low RCS objects, in addition to the development of ESR-32A/B [2D] primarily surveillance L-band radar with a maximum range of 250km.

Egypt has also developed and manufactured locally a 3D synthetic aperture radar at Benha Electronic Industries, which appears to be an indigenously developed version of the Chinese YLC-6 2D radar with a range exceeding 250 Km

I have to say i am quite impressed with Egypts command and control systems ( of what they are prepared to publically show of course). Given IDFs strength is in her airforce - it is a wise of Egypt to make sure that they can negate that as much as possible.

The Egyptian army localizes the German skyranger 30 and fills a dangerous loophole in national security..

Rheinmetall was offering multi solutions of Oerlikon Revolver Gun Mk3 (in both fixed & mobile configurations) for the Egyptian military since 2018, also Egypt was showing a great interest in producing it locally to complement the IRIS-T GBAD system which Egypt has already ordered..

You beat me to it O' Great One. :giggle: I was getting ready to post this impressive and vital branch among the 4 Armed Forces branches and their radars and entire network. It's really something. And all this stuff is just the half of it when you think about it. All the underground assets that we're constantly hearing about but haven't seen any of it? And I'm not 100% sure, but I believe this command & control is actually underground somewhere unknown with decoys to confuse enemy satellite, SIGINT assets and possible enemy surveillance or recon missions during times of war. They've really gone all out to beef up the air defense infrastructure from the lessons learned in the debacle of 1967 and the phenomenal success of 1973.

And this is a perfect example of how serious they're taking the air defense of Egypt. This is no joke lol and I truly believe this is one of several underground command & control centers. (let me know if you can't see this pic)

These are "most" of the Cairo/Nile Delta high-res short-range radars that guard military installations, bases, airports, ministries vital infrastructure & city and civil infrastructure.

All flying aircraft of any kind must have both valid transponders for IFF that identifies them and shows their correct flight route and also issued, registered identification codes so that when they get spotted by the automated system and their transponders don't automatically ID them, then they're radio-contacted in order to give that ID code which is also permission to enter Egyptian airspace given to foreign aircraft. If neither of those steps are able to be validated after several attempts, that's when they get intercepted which is worst case scenario and never really gets to that point. But it's a sound system which is why they have so many of these operators that constantly train.

The best part about all of this is most people that constantly praise the zionist and at the same time diss the Egyptian military as no match and would get instantly destroyed and all that usual crapola, most likely because of what happened in 1967 or some personal bias/hatred have no clue of how extensive and well-organized and effective this is to defend from any attack. They don't even consider what the Egyptian air defense did in 1973 when they slaughtered the zionist aircraft by the hundreds. For some reason they ignore that which was the foundation to the impetus of the creation of what we see here today. When they see these pictures and suddenly realize how impressive the Egyptian Air Defense network is, it makes them think again twice, at the least.

German medium-range air defense system IRIS-T SLM
The latest systems joining the Egyptian Air Defense Forces, with 7 systems

I believe this system has quickly become their favorite medium & short-range system, bro. I also believe this is the one they used to shoot down the Houthi missile that flew near Taba. And because it's so effective and high-tech and has excellent medium range, they're contracting for many more of them to possibly replace some of the older SAM batteries.

Egypt also needs AWACS.

Zarvan, bro! How could a knowledgable military man like you not know Egypt has several E-2C Hawkeyes? Even soon to be upgraded to D models

I suppose many also don't even know the EAF also has SIGINT & ELINT capabilities, shocking! lol

I was just reading some bull crap yesterday about the Egyptian military not having the will to go to war in ANY WAY!!! The ridiculous level of such ignorance is truly dumfounding. I don't get it. Much of it is simple, unintended/unaware ignorance like in this case here with my bro Zarvo. But I do feel much of it I have discovered in the past 25 years that it's quite maliciously intended. And don't get me started on the idiocy of the BVR rubbish!

S-300V4 system with new missile reaches 400 km

The range of S-300V4 anti-ballistic missile system reaches 400 kilometers. That means that Airborne early warning and control aircraft, including AWACS (Airborne Warning and Control System), will now be unable to enter the 400-kilometer zone without repercussions,

Egypt doesnt have S-300V4...
Only Russia has S-300V4 variant with 400 km 40N6 Missile

Egypt has S-300VM ( Antey-2500 ) with 200-250 km 9M82M and 9M83M air defense missiles
