I’m actually siked that Egypt and turkey are partnering up on the kaan project since it brings 2 powerful Muslim countries together while respecting each others boundaries. Personally getting the knowledge of manufacture and maintenance of a 5th gen platform is better then just seemingly buying it immediately like the saudis and the Indonesians so to conduct inspection and quality damage control to insure the function of the aircraft. We don’t want scenarios where entire fleets are grounded because of faulty sensitive components not being manufactured properly or just plain lower quality then expected, that’s why Japanese f35s were grounded when one crashed back in 2019. No need for scenarios like that when 5th gen stealth crafts are expected to be on full readiness at any given moment
