$7 billion.
The memorandum of understanding includes a period of 6 months to conduct studies and begin immediate implementation of the project procedures and obtain the necessary approvals, provided that during this period the alliance conducts feasibility studies for the project in cooperation with the Egyptian group company in order to begin the financing procurement procedures and present them to one of the international institutions to finance the construction phase.
The Turkish industrial capital, Jarjoub, aims to provide more than 20,000 job opportunities and pump more than $7 billion in direct investments in all its stages.
The starting point of the project is the operation of a multi-purpose station (containers, dry bulk, liquid bulk, general goods) and a diverse logistics area immediately after signing the contract, which is planned to be signed before the end of this year to begin operation in early 2026.
The Jargoub area is located in the city of Marsa Matrouh, and it is considered the fourth development pole that Egypt seeks to develop in the western region after the city of El Alamein, the city of Ras El Hekma, and the city of El Dabaa. They are all located on the route of the express train being implemented from the city of Ain Sokhna to the city of Marsa Matrouh within Egypt’s plan to settle 40 million Egyptians on the northwestern coast..over the next four decades.
